:iagree: Not every site out there has this one... :horse:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I think it is a cool site.  I just don't like liars and people that are full of B.S. and I don't care what the age.  I wish the kid would learn, I hope he does.  Part of it I think is every time you turn around it's in your face. It's like that third party budding in with BS, you guys know what I'm talking about.  If you have questions, that's cool. Post all you want to and with pictures, that's cool to. Just don't try to fit in so hard that it makes you dishonest. Now here is my  :Twocents:  This goes for everyone, If you are old enough to read and be a member then you are old enough to know better.  Doright, there is more to it than you know. This site is good and so are most all of the members here.  And I'm SPENT........ Chuck........................

I was picked on when I was a kid; So what? They don't need to be pampered especially teenagers.

I'm not saying he's a bad kid, just annoying. Try www.myspace.com.

I dont plan on being pampered. I just would like everybody to stop picking on me. I am thankful though that the picking on is settling down.

I think the issue is one of learning. When you were a kid and acted out of line, you got smacked and learned your lesson. Now there seems to be a continous barrage of acts and smacks. The learning is the missing part.

No one here has anything against someone wanting to learn or gain knowledge or just hang with people that have common likes. Many have done it in the past and many more will do so in the future. As the old adage states, "Actions speak louder than words." When the actions get to be more than repititious well.......

Doright

I just don't want too see kids get picked on no matter how annoying they may be... thats just plain mean and uncool.
Now I am a father of a 14 year old who is car crazy and I will be dammed if I will let any one pick on him OR any one else's kid for that matter!

Now that being said
When I was a KID I also KNEW when to to keep my mouth shut around the big guy's as some were really grouchy all the time and generally they were the ones that knew the most.
So generally I kept my mouth shut and only spoke when I was 150% sure what I was about to say was 100% true, And when I asked questions it was only after I had read a book about what I was trying to do what ever that may have been.

When I was that age I was hanging with Old Aircraft mechanics and Machinist's back home in Alaska, While a good percentage of my school friends were going around trying to find some one to scam off of (steel shit) I was cleaning parts at a machine shop or wrenching for them doing tear downs.
I always had some cash in my pocket and My car always ran! and I had the fastest dam Charger in town, None of my friends could say any of those things.

You are correct Doright. However, this is not a case of us picking on this poor, poor kid.  :pity: T5 has brought this on himself and we have spanked him so to speak for that.  :horse: I think he is learning his lesson and that will be great. This is a site for everyone so we should try to conduct ourselves accordingly.  :yesnod: I think he's a good kid that is full of energy and has made a few wrong choices. Now 69bronzeT5, I know you will read this so pay attention. I and most every member here DOES NOT want you to leave.  We just want you to listen more and think about what you say before you say it.  :yesnod: Even us adults put our foot in our mouths from time to time.  :yesnod: You do this and before you know it you will have a better time here. You will still have guys poke fun at you (including me  :icon_smile_big:) but with good intent. :icon_smile_big: And they will become your buddies.  Not everyone will see eye to eye but we must be civil.  :yesnod: This is a community and a good one so hang with us Doright. This will pass and work it'self out.    Chuck...........

Agreed! And I am the father of a 24 year old, a 21 year old, a 20 year old and a 17 year old. I will defend them to the hilt if they are in the right and are being picked on or ill-treated.

But - if any of them act out of turn or make a nuisance of themselves after a warning or two - well they deserve to learn that there are consequences to your actions.

As a parent, a lot of people wonder why in todays society, why the younger generation is getting to be more and more violent and disrespectful. Well, when you push the children of our future away, and don't let them become interested in our hobbys, what do you expect to happen. Then they have nothing better to do but join gangs, or turn to drugs, etc.. We should be happy that this/these young men have something we all have in common, old cars. Let them enjoy our hobby as one day when all us old guys are gone, they will be the owners of our cars. My own kids ask and do annoying things too, but any responsible parent deals with it. No, were not baby sitters here, but, if it was some kid in your family, would you still push him/her away because they annoy you? At least give these kids credit for having a "real" hobby, and not drugs. :Twocents:

Nah he is referring to the way he and silver (who is btw still bashed I believe) used to be bashed on this site. Drache actually spend some time off the site and has returned later. I have been bashed as well (was 14 back than, I guess it comes with the age) I just seemed to pick it up a little faster. After one good thread I learned and than it was over. I guess we all learn from our mistakes, he seems to be picking it up. Personally I agree that some of the members have been a bit harsh, but he'll live, if he can't take this he really isn't ready for life.
