I was rather dissappointed with all of the ads this year. :rotz: Maybe I should be going to school for advertising...

Yeah, they were pretty bad.  I missed the CareerBuilder monkeys!  I can't believe they ditched them this year.  Monkeys = instant sucess .  All The Time!

I'm going to go for the Budweiser slapping commercial (at least I think it was Bud).  What can I say...my sense of humor is completely juvenile  :rotz:

For shock effect I'd have to say the Snickers, you won't forget it.  For creativity I'd say the animated Coke one with the guy doing good deeds after drinking one.

I'd say they were all pretty disappointing this year.

I'd wager the price of Super Bowl ads has increased so much that advertisers decided it was not worth it.
The majority of ads here (Seattle area) seemed to be network ads or for the local CBS affiliate broadcasting the game.
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.

My wife and I both thought the ads were very dissapointing and rather lack-luster.  I told her that the Budweiser ads have been, and always will be a hit.  I think I counted at least four new commercials for them.  With all the millions Anheiser-Busch brings in each year, they can afford four or five ads at $2.5M a pop.  Most other companies who shelled out the dough, should have hired better brains in the advertising office.

This was definitely the worst year for commercials in recent memory IMHO.  I did think the Bud commercial with the two gorrillas talking and the one paying more attention to the lady trying to take his picture was funny. :-\

I liked the animated coke with the that guy was doing all the good deeds.

I didn't see the snickers one, what was that about?

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

i thought the Ford Truck commerical right in the beginning was one of the better ones.  Where they show the exploded view of the F-450 and then it comes together piece by piece.

I also thought this one was good.  where the guy and girl driving in the rain pick up the guy with beer and a Axe.  then they stop again and the guy with the axe says "but he has a chainsaw!" :icon_smile_big:

Here are all of then BTW:  http://youtube.com/superbowl

K-Fed. No doubt.

yeah, that was pretty good, though I had already seen it online about a week ago. That left me hoping the others would be good, but I wasnt very impressed either. I liked the Blockbuster one about the mouse and the one with the puppy that passes itself off as a dalmatian.

Did they even show the the Dale Jr. "mad max" commercial. I kept waiting for it, but I didnt see it. Maybe I was up getting a beer or a hot dog, but everyone at the party I was at knew I was waiting for it, so they would have yelled when it came on.

That was probably the best. But thats not saying much. None of them were that good.

I used to eat Snickers a lot, but don't think I can even look at one without seeing that commercial in my mind.  Yeech!  As for the rest of the commercials, a few good ones but not as good as a lot of SB commercials of the past.
