But what a heavy bastard! The right side ramp where all the hydraulics are is sooo heavy it takes a block and tackle and some strong rafters to do it without a forklift. Special thanks to Cudabob (pictured drunk) for all his help in assembly  . It helps to have someone there whose done it before.  The guys at garage equipment supply  www.gesusa.com were real eager to work on price, shipping and their sales guy must be married as well cause he sent me a tennis chain to shut up the wife to boot! It worked.  The man's a genius. If you need a lift talk to Rudy Muro at the afore mentioned website, he is a king among men!

You should love that lift I love mine! dont know what I would do with out it.... Well actually I do..... Buy another one!

I had a twin post but sold it when I moved out here wish I still had that one too, but that flat lift is great! doesnt drop the suspension but if you have the sliding I beam deal and a couple small jack stands it works out good.
I do alot more work on it than I had planned but it makes it super easy no more up and down and crawling around on the floor.

Man I'm going to look them up. That looks like a good way to not only work on your car but to store it.   :icon_smile_big:

What is the height of the roof of a car parked when it is at its upper position?  When I built my latest garage for my charger I was planning to install a lift such as these in it.  My walls are 11 feet high but not sure if that is high enough to support a lift.

I have 12'2" to the bottom of the ceiling joists and 9'10" under the steel I-beam shown in the picture above. Also make sure your garage door tracks are raised so that the door is close to the ceiling when in the open position, otherwise you might smash your car when you open the door.
Any questions feel free to pm me. I set mine up by myself and a overhead electric winch in about 4 hours.

Yeah my beams are 12 feet up. I've got the caster wheels so I can roll the lift around to avoid the doors. I have another 10 or so feet in front of lift to move forward. Whitehat is right ,definately plan not only cielings but the doors as well.In restrospect ,I wish i'd have gone another 3 feet up on the doors.

Lord Warlock

Yes, I'm beginning to see that myself.  My door is at 7ft, but has 4ft above it, there is room to lift the car sideways if necessary in front of the doors.  As it is I'd only be able to raise a car with the door shut, or open with the lift down.  Kind of wish now I'd gone with a much taller door.  Hindsights always 20/20 though.

You don't need a new door! I had an overhead door company come out and they lifted the existing tracks up to about 6" from the ceiling (I have 8' high doors) and then added an 18" straight section to the bottom of the track. Now the door goes up straight and follows closer to the ceiling. They had to remove the outside locking handle so it wouldn't hit the jamb on the way up and added two side locks that go into the tracks, similar to a commercial door. Now that door has to be locked from the inside. Total cost was a $100.00 cash and it took them about an hour and a half.

I will post pictures tomorrow or over the weekend.

I bought my ProPark7 now the ProPark8 from www.gregsmithequipment.com for $1795.00 plus about 300.00 shipping to a trucking terminal near my location. We had to pick the lift up with a trailer.

That price included the lift, 2 ramps, 3 drip pans, 1 jack tray, 4 casters, and an oil change receptacle with a telescoping funnel.
