The white stripes are on my 71 Bee.

G'day guys,

well....finally got the white stripes on my 71 Bee.

I am ready for your criticism's, comments, praises....whatever. Give it your best shot, I'm ready.

To tell the truth, I hated them at first, but since seeing it at different places around town and after heaps of positive comments, I love it. The next thing now is to decide whether to leave the hood decal black, or do it white as well.

What's the verdict ?

   looks real good to me (71 BeeMan).  as for a white hood decal , it might look too much ..   it is hard to say      black looks good though  ,       may be change the black to white in the picture . by the computer to have a better idea . hmm.  white would look good ...    not much help am i

I think it looks great!  I wasn't sure about the white on the hood until I saw it.  I really like the color.

Another vote here for the white as well.  Black looks good too though, but that white really sets it off.

I guess I am the minority...  but I honestly preferred your car with the black stripes.  I love white stripes but for some reason still like the black better on your car.  Its still an awesome car, and im glad you picked the color you wanted not what anyone else wants.  I just would have left them black if it was my car.  As far as the hood goes...  Im not sure.   The white/black seem to contrast a little...  You already added the white side stripes, I say finish the look.   

I thought about a white hood stripe like that on my car, since I am going with white interior and side stripe...  but I was not sure if I would like it or not.  So far I plan to leave the hood body color but that may change.  It will be interesting to see how it looks if you decide to do it.

Another idea...  How about no hood stripe at all?  Body color hood with just the super bee logo up front (in white trim of course)?

i just thought if it was easy to photo shop the hood white, why not look at it at all angles, colors  i mean. if i knew how to do it, then i would. i would  just try to look at things from all ways you  can to decide what to do. you know what i mean?

even My car does have white stripes and I like a lot, my vote on your one is BLACK... those white stripes are too close to your white top and makes too much white around... I think that would make difference compairing with 73/74 rallye stripes.

hi peter, i probably told you this once before but i like the white i think it should have been a factory option did you buy the stripe white? or have to get it made? I think it goes well with the white roof together they look like one piece i would probably leave the hood the way it is the wheels are tires compliment the black of the hood. Is your interior...blue? black? the other reason i would keep the hood black is in the photoshop it looks like you may paint the insert white? its all about personal touches and you have put yours on your car that's what matters btw i have pics of a 71 rt with the white decal/stripe if i find them i will post them maybe that will give you a idea? you could always get the white hood decal and just place it on your hood first and, if you dont like it dont use it.  looking good peter!

To Nach, and all the other guys who are leaning toward the black, I know exactly what you all mean. I really did think it was a mistake doing the white stripes at first, but they really do grow on you. On one hand I look at it with the black and think it's just a really tidy, clean, good looking vehicle - as it's meant to be. But the other part of me look at it and thinks that these white decals just lift the whole car and you can't help but notice it - in a good way.

I've done heaps of Photoshop "mock ups" and I'm still deciding what to do. I've tried every possible configuration....trust me on that one.

I'll keep you all posted. Oh, and Mike.......the stripes are already a standard line from Performance Car Graphics. They are real good on price, quality and service....would recommend them to EVERYONE.

glad you likes the pics peter, i like the white and as i said the main thing is its your car and your car has your personal touches which i think is important. if every super bee, rt, whatever looked the same how boring would that be! white, black, it still is (and always will be) a awesome car

I would have done the hood white too, that will make it even more crispy.

I agree with what is said above, make the hood decal white as well. I like the stripes white, they make them stand out a lot more and you don't see it very often.
