Absolutely

I just got one hell of a deal I think.  I mainly got the grille for the two end pieces for the corners that go under the front bumper.  I am going to try and see if I can fix the broken and cracked areas as it is only the center part.  Then comes the fun part of repainting it with the argent silver and semi flat black.  Anyway, what is everyones opinion as to what I paid for the grille?  It comes with all of the trim pieces as well.  I will be picking this up in person so disregard the $80 shipping price.  Personally, I think it was a great deal as I have not seen these complete grilles go or under $700.

Definitely a good deal.  Let that be a lesson to all the ebay haters out there.  And if you only need the headlight buckets you could sell the grille sections and make most (or more) of your money back.

I got mine for $400 bucks complete. Only one small chip.

Yea, you did alright. :yesnod: I happened across a good deal on a '68 grill not too long ago that a guy sold with two front valances and a fender that I got for less than $400 off craigslist. I already got about $100 of it back from selling parts because all I wanted was the grill. It was busted up in a few small areas but amazingly the guy saved the pieces.

I also am picking up a pair of rear original stainless steel wheel trim moldings.  Driver side is in mint condition while the pass side is in very good condition, it has one rub mark which should be able to be repaired.  The two of them I got for $39.99/pair.  Heck, it is worth the  3 1/2 hr trip out there just to pick these items up so  they wont get damaged in shipping. :boogie: :drive:

Never bought on personally, but seems like a good deal to me...

I bought three broken 1969 grilles (enough to make two good grilles with the trim) for $250 a year and a half ago at a Mopar show ;D.    At least with your deal, you won't have to do the repair work I have to do (which has amounted to ten hours so far, with alot more to go with the trim).  So I would say you got a great deal.....

FWIW, it has a 68 drivers side headlight door.

That is a fair price. I wouldn't call it a steal, but good for what you are getting.

For 425, yeah you did okay.  I still reserve the right to be an e-bay hater though.  And I'll still be using it.  :icon_smile_big:

No doubt you got a good deal however, what happened to the grille in your car?  Did it get damaged?

:iagree:

Nothing wrong with that grille you won that JB Weld,  sandpaper, spot putty and paint can't fix.    Totally auto sells grill silver and satin black in spray cans.  That's what I used to repaint mine.  Took a lot of time to mask off the  silver from the black and vice versa.

Mike,

My grille is in excellent shape but the only flaws it has is the two corner pieces that go under the front bumper were broken off and then cut flat so I was not aware they were broken till someone at a Mopar show pointed it out to me.  Now I can have a perfect grille after I combine my current one with the new one and would still have a nice spare in case something happens to the good one.

Good deal IMO. I paid $320 for a NOS center section only. I still need to buy the I-beam.

GAH!   :icon_smile_blackeye:

I was watching that grille!  I was going to bid on it, but got tied up at work and missed out..This work thing is always messing things up for me.   :P

Glad to see someone will put it to good use though...definitely a good buy. Congrats ;D

I think you did good and there still are some deals if your stay on the lookout.

Two years ago I lucked out and found this clip about 5 miles from me. It was advertised as '70 Charger parts and when I got there it was actually '69 stuff.  I offered him $200 for the grill but he wanted to sell the whole clip. All I had on me was $243 and I got a perfect valance panel, nice bumper core, turn signal assemblies, and the rest of the rusty stuff.  ;)
