I wouldn't trade one American life for all the trunk lids in Iraq.

So if a firetruck comes wailing up behind you and you just can't get out of the way fast enough and the big chrome bumper pushes you aside, you'd simply chalk it up as experinece and figure next time, I'll just have to get out of the way faster.  No harm, no foul - my fault for not being on the ball - correct?

So in all your years driving a police car/fire truck/ambulance, the only cars that have not gotten out of the way as you approach from behind with light flashing and sirens wailer were BMW's &/or Mercedes'?

Yes, I guess that is what I'm saying. If the fire fighters you're referring to are in my Country fighting a war for me and are at higher risk of getting killed if they stop. then yes absolutely! bump me out of the way.. sorry I had my head up my ass!  If I cant pick up a rifle and help than the least I can do is get the hell out of the way when a military vehicle is needing by.

A dent in the back of a car is a very, very small price to pay...My tax dollars spent on this war alone would have bought those  cars. And I'm sure once we get things all back to normal over there, and the oil starts flowing again. they'll all have enough cash to buy new cars. maybe even have em Gold plated! along with their toilets.  Think our gas prices will go down?......

And as I think about it...Not once in my 25 years of driving, have I impeded an emergency vehicle, but at least a few times, have seen people, totally unaware that there was one behind them. and thought to myself "too bad they can't ram them off the road"

I wasn't referring to the vid, SOME of the comments made is what I refer to. As for sitting and talking about cars, well I can think of much better things to do.  I guess it's ok in the fact that the soldiers were in a hurry, but I didn't see any evidence to tell me they were. BEFORE someone gets bent over my statements, I support our troops, the war is still on debate. Troy doesn't allow political discussions and that IS a good thing. Nothing good comes from discussing religion,politics,or a woman's age.

Wise words, I agree with you and I am not getting into this as well. But I know that if it was me getting bumped I would start reinforcing my car along with some artilary and be on my way to bump some Humvee's... But hey I have a problem with authority, those Iraq's probably feel the same way you guys on here do... They just bought a car they had to save for for 6 years because that's how much they get paid...

no shakey....(sorry to isolate any bmw or benz guys on here?!?!?! as i'm sure they are more than a few!!!!) i was just making a generalization of the friggin inconsiderate, drunkin, selfish, have no clue about what's really going on.... other than in their world jackass yuppies that make up most of my town's populis, especialy on the weekends!!!!! "oh....i have money..i can do whatever i friggin want" and act like a complete friggin no class jackass!!!!! the poor kids from the projects...give us & earn more respect back from us!!!!!!  and yea my "black & white" must look like a friggin ice cream truck to them, as they are in their own little world!!!!!!

Nevermind what I say. I was under the impression(stupid me) that people who owned/drove classic cars had a little bit more consideration for their fellow motorists. Over there, they probably DO have to drive like that for the safety of their lives and others lives.

Wow, I didn't think this video would turn into this.  My guess is that the HUMVEE driving is the lead in a convoy.  Since the camera only shows one view, there's no way to be sure.  But who the hell would be driving a lone vehicle around over there. With the amount of road side bombs, RPG's and whatever else those bitches are using, these guys can not sit still even for a second.  If the HUMVEE is the lead and gets taken out in all that traffic, every vehicle behind him would be a sitting duck.

I got lucky and got to go to MCRD San Diego back in 94.  I am glad I didn't have to deal with all those sand fleas and whatever the hell else they got at PI.

Look all I was trying to say is, some of the posts seem to indicate that if someone is in their way on the interstate, bump 'em outta your way! As for the vid, I don't take issue with it. I was taught to be (by Uncle Sam) a LOT more colder than they appear to be.
