Anyone have Verizon's new FIOS internet?

Looking to possibly dump my cable modem for the new Verizon fiber optic.   There are rumors that Time Warner cable is on the outs and I want to get out before the FIOS price goes up.

Anyone have it yet?  Good?  Bad?

     IO just saw your post ON this.  I have this at my house and love it, we also got a deal on Verizon  for our home phone and Cable T.V....its all in high def and is awesome.  I am holding out for a big screen in high def, but parts and  family needs come first. Hey, back to the FIOS, it is awesome here, and we have had excellent customer service, no outages and  extremely fast. We opted in for the middle speed, after a few months of the lowest  speed on Fios....I am sure were to not fast enough to realize the difference, but its pretty good.  MY two cents...

Thanks, did you have a cable modem before?   Looking to get the low grade one to start 10/2...notice any difference in the lower one compared to a cable modem?

Yep, we had the modem that Verizon originally supplied us when we had the dsl....They came out and installed a wireless system just a few feet from my computer which I keep in the game room over my garage.  If they offer you the deal of the home phone, fios and verizon cable t.v.  take it. We have had great service, including my stupid 15 month old lab digging up the cable in my back Yard and chewing through it....Verizon came out cheerfully the next day and ran new fiber optic cable and buried it deeper in the yard.....I know there are bound to be some complaints about this service or that one but right now Verizon is the way to go for me and my family....!!!!
