Just wondering...does anyone know if Chrysler put out any foreign versions of the Charger, or foreign versions of other Mopars in other countries like Mexico with a slightly different body style than the American version? Seems to me a while ago I ran into a web site where a guy had a picture of a 68 Charger produced in another country, and it looked quite different than the ones here. Any pics? ???

You have Venezulean Charger's they are the same body style (73/74) but have some different features as the R/T, which was no longer a model in the US. Than you also have the Brazilian Charger's which were Dart's with a Charger name... Oh and almost forgot the Australian Charger's which were a completely different car.

Yeah Thanks Arthur. I did find one of those Australian Chargers. Yeah, looks quite different than the ones in the U.S. I wonder why they look different if they're made by the same company.  ???

I've wondered that too.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Now that's the first time I have heard of that. That's some cool stuff and minding the headlights I think the 2 door version R/T is a very cool car.

I think the most famous foreign Charger here is Nacho's blue '74 R/T Venezuelan only.

Mopart's has a nice thread about the Brazilian Chargers with a lot of good picks.

Thanks God Venezuela did keep the same body lines... and as stated by Arthur all Venezuelan Chargers were called R/Ts, maybe just for marketing purpouse

Yes as stated, Brazil, Argentina, Australia and Spain had its own Chrysler models based on another plattforms, basically A bodies
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Jamie - that's not actually a Charger - it's an Aussie Pacer ( 4 Doors ) ...All Aussie Chargers only had two doors...

By the way - here is a pic of my old car - It's not a Charger either - It's what was known as a VH Hardtop - I still love this shape car but I sold it to get my 68 ( much better!! )

jamie1974

Yeah, that VH Hardtop isn't a bad looker! I like it...especially the rear window view looks cool. I also think the Brazilian Charger is a good looking machine, too. I like it.   :icon_smile_approve:

Thanks for the info guys! I wanna look into these articles to learn more. Neat to see some of these Chargers from countries outside the U.S.
