Do I have to press out the pivot shaft from the lower controlarm? Have to change due to destroyed threads.  :scratchchin:

Yes, you have to press the shaft out of the arm.  Since you are replacing the shaft you won't need to remove the bushing's inner sleeve from the shaft but you will need to remove the outer sleeve from the control arm if you are using  original type bushings.

Thanks, will that come with the standard shaft I bought from Mancini?

Yeah the lower arm has a pressed-in shaft.

But be aware that the balljoint in the UPPER control arm is screwed in and not pressed.

Plenty of repair shops have messed up Chrysler UCAs over the years trying to press the balljoints out.

Is that the approx 3" nut ontop of the ball joint that has to be loosend? Have to admit I also thought I should press that one out.
Good to have moparfriends  :2thumbs:

If you ordered this shaft.

Then you need a bushing like this one.

The bushing needs to be pressed onto the pivot shaft first.  Then you press the shaft/bushing into the lower control arm by pressing on the outer part of the bushing.  A piece of pipe will work for that.

Do you mean they sold me the shaft without asking if I maybe needed the bushing? Would have saved both shippingcost and frustration. Better call and ask,
package didn't arrive yet.  :brickwall:

Well, well, well, shaft arrived today without bushing. Just to make a new order and wait another couple of weeks.  :icon_smile_angry:

Followed your advice, to press in the new shaft with bushing was no problem. The hell was to get the old outer sleeve from the bushing out from the
lower controlarm. Thanks!  ;)
