they say they are off a 68.

is the one on the right in the missing a piece on top.  i thought there was supposed to be a little tab on both??

Some of the early 68's had a screw going in that location in the curved location where those rivet
looking things are now.

They are crimped together with that 2in long piece sticking out of that one in your picture.
So yes you need one for the other one, but it probable is still crimped to the other flat portion
that it crimps to.
