Has anyone seen the new Challenger

I am trying to decide if I want to pay to get in the auto show?  The only car I realy want to see is the new Challenger.  I got a $2 off coupon but it is still $14 for my wife and I to get in, $5 parking downtown St.Louis.  All to see a car that in a few months I can walk on any Dealers lot and see for free, even take for a ride.  What do you think?

I guess the only way it would be worth it is to imagine you are getting us all a ticket and take tons of pictures and post them up here.

If you imagine it that way, then you will only be paying roughly $ .005 to get in the show.

Sounds good to me.  If nothing else it's a night out on the town with your wife.   Or you could spend the money and go see the movie Freedom Writers, but then that would be like $100 with popcorn and all.  I think the show is a better deal.  Don't they give out free goodies at these shows too?

I love seeing cars & the winter is getting old now around here. I'd pay to go see the new Challenger as well as whatever else is there. If I go, I usually have some friends with me & there's always something to see, something to do, & even stop to eat & have a beer.    I go to the spring & fall Carlisle shows even though there are hardly any Mopars there. It gives me a chance to get out & see some friends I haven't seen in a while, even if they are Chebby heads.

I saw it in Cleveland last year at their auto show.  Let me tell you.......It is worth the price of admission.  That car is so imaculate!

I have. They had it at Mopar Nationals. The pictures are not the best, as there was a crowd around it all day.

I saw it at the Chryslers at Carlisle show. They had it up on a podium with the doors open and all. IMO it was well worth seeing it in person...

You need to see it in person to realize how BIG it is. You have a 70 so you'll understand what I'm talking about when you get close. It's pretty cool though and I go to the auto shows in winter becuse there's not much else going on.

Man seeing those pictures makes me want that car bad.  I had a 70 Challenger back in the 80's man do I wish I would have kept it.

According to the "official" Dodge magazine I read a couple days ago at the dealership the new Challenger concept is about 12" longer and 6" wider (or vice-versa) than a '70. At any rate, it is bigger than a '70.

It's a very cool car but I don't know if I'd pay $14 to see it.  But I think DCX should pay me $14 every time I have to look at an '06 Charger.

looks very nice. I'd drive it but it is LARGE and part of the appeal of the original E bods are their compactness. 
I find the extra weight on the DCX LXs problematic from an efficency standpoint wonder what it weighs?.
the charger is a hefty 4000... 
  but still it's nice to have six airbags and an extra two inches in the rear seat... that interior looks really cool.
so whos complaing?.. 

anyone know if it's getting a manual?..

Yeah in there they said it was somewhere around 4100 pounds, and I do believe they mentioned it was a manual

Well, we ended up going to the movies, we saw notes on a scandle, should have gone to see the Challenger,  Troy it has been so long since I have driven my 70 I'm not sure I would notice the size difference.

high 30's to mid 40's for a high end.  i bet they offer a entry level as well for somewhere in the 20's.

I saw it at 06 Carlisle,it's alright,doesn't excite me,looks a little too bulky to me,therefore if they keep the production model the same,would never buy one.Just my opinion.

That's what surprised me the most, too.  I saw it at the NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.  There were so many people around it that is was difficult to get a clear photo!
