Here is the Plymouth on display.  The chrome is still in good shape in the picture of the front of the car they wiped a spot clean  on the bumper
Its no disgrace being poor.  Its just inconvienient.

im surprised the gasoline in the trunk was still liquid

It probably is the lowest mile 57 in existence....but that don't mean squat except some idiot on ebay would probably give a lot for it. I figure what your seeing is the best part. The bumpers rust from the back side out. Is that chrome trim or stainless? Stainless would be ok. Chrome trim.....just like the bumpers. Part of the leaf spring fell off so the frame is probably gone like the floorboards. I would like to see it after someone media blasted it.......then again probably not. We are sad about it now but that would probably put the nails back in the coffin for sure.

Thanks for the photos.

Didn't give it a wipe down or nothin....well, I guess they wanted to display it just how they found it.

I'd still love to have the car. It's a piece of American history!!

The most original car on earth

still has its original tank of gasoline and oil

the crankcase was full by the way. Coddington checked the dipstick

On November 10 2007 Tulsa will bury another car underground and dig it up in 2057.

In 1998 Tulsa buried a Prototype Plymouth Prowler.  Dont know where though

The Prowler has already been buried. It was buried Jan. 17, 1998. http://www.tulsaworld.com/webextra/content/2007/buriedcarunearthed/articles.aspx?articleID=070616_1_A8_hOffi67475
It's located on 6th Street at Centennial Park

Well this time they should put it in a vacuum sealed container somehow...waterproof, of course. ;) The stuff that came out of the sealed time capsule looked mint! :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

The container that the prowler is welded shut and pressurized

Well, we're coming up to a year since the 57 plymouth was raised from the grave...

Anyone know if it's still alive? I thought it made a trip back east somewhere to be sodablasted or something - that's the last I heard of it.

its really quite sad.... I would be working my ass off on that car if I had it jus because I can't stand to see it in that condition:
still hope the best for the car

The70RT

That's funny that they have a donor car. What possibly could be better on the buried car.......nothing. :Twocents:

terrible one

I hope it doesn't simply get stripped down, patched, and restored. I think it's highest point of beauty is being cleaned up and left as is.
