Well, I'm almost what you could call an original owner.  In Feb. 1968 I ordered my new sunfire yellow R/T.  It took about 4 weeks for delivery.  In the 2 years I owned it, I built up so many cool memories that I could never get that car out of my head.  In 1997 I found my current '68 and restored it to look just like my original.  So, when I'm driving it, it's like I have never been without it and I'm still 20 years old.  UNTIL I LOOK IN THE DAMN MIRROR.    Bob

for me, going on 6 years, maybe 7 now.  And it is a never ending restoration.  Just about when you think you are done, you find something else that is not correct. :rotz:

Bought in '84.........$750 and a home stereo on trade....sat most of the time..always garaged....original paint and never seen a body shop...a few changes over time........until I got o hold of a dozen FREE rattle cans and met eBay lol

I know of a '71 R/T laying in a field for over a decade...spoke to this fellow several times over the years.....he's a little different.....thought of using my car as a donor for this R/T....but just have a hard time to destroy my car...this car needs cowl and possibly undercarriage repair due to sitting.....It's a dark green R/T with p/w, slapstick, tinted glass, 6 way power drivers seat.....dude claims to have matching numbers motor.....sitting in the field all apart with basically uni body,  front and rear suspension and rear body panels still bolted on.
$4850cdn. was the last price he threw at me a few years ago Hmmmmmmmmm always thinking of that car

What do you guys think of my car as a donor for this R/T.....my car is fairly solid as far as rusting goes???

chgr500

Or how about this car sitting on a local reserve for over a decade....I have approached this car a couple of times also.....VERY SCARY :scared:........big barking dogs on chains all over and alot of natives keeping an eye on me while I cruise in with the Mustang....left notes and numbers on the front door with no results.....there's an air grabber powerbulge leaning against the shed in between the house......car appears very solid.....what a guy won't do for a Charger huh.....likely should try again soon....maybe bring some friends and the truck instead of the wife next time
