Can anyone tell me the difference between an auto and stick console for the 71-74 b-body other than the top trim plate?

There is a cutout on the side to clear the 4 speed hump.  You can cut an auto console to fit it will be the same thing.  Someone here posted a bunch of pictures of his car not too long ago, if you want to dig up the thread they were good pictures.

so basically what your saying is you need to get a 4 speed top plate, and then modify it on the side to fit? i had no idea about the top plate difference one day i would like to change my 72 charger console auto, to a 4 (or 5) speed thanks for the info.
