If anybody remembers, I was talking about a 69 RT with 68 fenders that I found. Well, me and CHARGER PUNK have been talking and he went out today and checked out the car. Apperentley, the owner was  :icon_bs: ing me and my dad when he went and looked at it. CHARGER PUNK said its a 68 318 car and its for sure not a RT. It has a 69 tailight panel in it too boot. Well anyways, he might be buying it and if he does, I get a reward. A beat up 69 tailpanel and MINT 69 taillights!

I've seen them sell on ebay from $50-$500 bucks.  The secret is to take real good pics

bull

I read it but I still don't see any pics of it. Typically it's a good idea to wait until you actually have the car and the title before you start yapping about scoring. :yesnod:

And it's spelled LIAR, not lier.

ummm Bull, this thread is for the 16 and younger crowd.  Move along please.   :nana:

Since I knew he wasn't going to be buying a car before I even opened the thread, I figured he got laid last night for the first time but wasn't quite sure.  I thought maybe he was posting some pics and going to ask some questions.

it's even more fun when young guys come on here with an endless stream of bullshit and us old guys call them on it.... forget american idol, this is entertainment... :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big:

and actually, it's nothing at all against you guys being young.  it's the stories with no proof.  trust me, if some old crusty bastard came on here selling a bill of goods about a 72 6bbl or hemi car, or a carb that gets 200mpg, we would be on him too.  and whether you believe it or not, we want to believe you. we would like nothing better than to see a young guy get a cool car and work on it, we all would throw in any experience or info we have.  We are rooting for you guys....so go out,  plunk some hard earned cash on a beater, and post up!! we will have you on the road in no time.

Dumb comments eh?

Read the first 11 posts in this thread, with the exception of # 5 & # 6 and then rethink the "dumb comments" remark you made!   :smilielol:

Heh, Heh. Your a funny guy Mikey. I got a call at 1:40AM from the monitoring service for my parents house saying the low temp alarm was going off, parents are in FLA until April. Got there at 2AM and found the furnace off and the pipes starting to freeze. Spent the rest off the night keeping the woodstove going, fixing the furnace and checking for broken pipes. Since I've been home i have been working on my taxes and when I start to get sleepy I click on here for some entertainment.

THE CHARGER PUNK

funny story whe ni went to look at car i had my Nikon camera with me but went to snap pics and no batteries i asked the owenr if i could borrow some for a few minutes and he told me that nothing in his house had batteries ??? so im like w/e i will be going back in a while but to gibe a recap on the car its a orange 68 charger 318 car with black interior, it has a 440 and 727 in it :yesnod:,a 69 tail light panel, all the charger emblems were removed or ''smoothed''' over it has power windows, console auto, rear window defroster, seat belts connected to the inside of the roof,am/fm 8-track that somebody smashed with what looks like a screw driver(think christine when moochie smashes the radio) it has that switch right beside the speedo and has a dial beside the radio in the bezel-MATT

hemigeno

Was it a factory paint orange car?  That would be one rare car if it was.  While the Bengal Chargers were all ordered orange, I suppose it was possible for a car to be special ordered orange apart from the ones sent to Tom Kneer in Cincinatti as the Bengal cars.  I saw a photo of a '68 A-body with the special-order orange, so I suppse it was available across the Chrysler lineup if you knew how to write the order form up.

With Chrysler's dismal record-keeping from that era, the world will probably never know how many such cars there were.

Troy

If it has orange paint and a 69 tail panel I'm guessing it may have had an "01" on the doors and a flag on the roof at some point. ;)

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

69bronzeT5

LOL! Ya, since CHARGER PUNK couldnt get pics. Im gonna get some in a few weeks. My grandma lives 2 blocks from the car. I used to live two blocks from the car also. But now..I live 55 miles from the car. And thes a big body of water between us.
