As some of you may know, I was in SFO earlier this week.  I was in the Haight / Ashbury part of town and took some time to look around for some concert posters.

Bill Graham was a concert promoter from the '60's right up until his death in the early '90's when a helicopter he was in crashed into a hydro tower in a storm.  In his time, he commissioned some of the most groovy promotional posters for the concerts he was promoting, that I have ever seen.

I have a concert poster from a Led Zeppelin show, the last show in the United States, in my office from when Zeppelin played in Oakland, CA.  When I was in SFO I saw a promotional poster for the Page & Plant shows in San Jose & Oakland in 1995 and figured it's look pretty cool beside the other in my office.

Anyways, I'd thought I'd share these with you.

If you check out this web site:

you'll see a real far out collection of some really cool memorobilia.

Cool posters Shakey.  I collect a little bit of that kind of stuff myself so I may be biased though.  I noticed the opening band on that Page and Plant poster too. ;)

I saw another hip poster:

A white goalie mask with a blue maple leaf covering it.  From 1999 at the Filmore.

EDIT:

Here it is.

Did that guy happen to do some work for Boston? Some of that funky stuff looks like the Boston album covers.
