why wont my AK-47 eject emty cases with the dust cover on

I had a SKS for a while and finally stepped up to a AK. I would not go back AK has never failed or jammed. Now I also have a HK 308 and it is a tack driving mother bear. With only a twenty round clip I would take it over the AK and it's thirty round clip anyday. We were out to range last year and some guy was showing off with his Ruger 10-22 going thru 30 rounds as quick as he could. My sons and I loaded the Mini 14 and the AK and the HK and all cut loose at the same time. He threw up his hands and laughed " I give up you win".

hahaha thats funyy ive been that guy once    its like i coulnt  even tell if my 10-22  is going off with all those big boomers unloading beside me
