Why wouldn't there be a similar one on your side of the country?  :shruggy:

they are getting fairly rare, the dogged out ones are around, but a nice maintained example is getting pretty hard to find..
i've passed on a few allready, and now i feel impulsive and want that particular one. seems better maintained than most.

Dave,

It could be close to me depending on what part of CT you're talking about. The western border is a 35 minute ride, but the eastern part is a few hours. Other than the basics, I wouldn't have a clue as to what to look for on that model as a problem area. Also, it's dark here before I leave work, so a weekend would be best to see it in daylight. If you're serious & nobody is closer to it, I could try to look at it if it isn't too far away.

Can't you get some cortisone creme to help with the itch until one near you turns up?  :D

Dave
I did the math, one way on expedia.  a flight from SFO to MKE(wisc) would be under $150.00 numerous carriers.  That was leaving on the 31st Jan on a Wednesday.

I think it would be cheaper to do what PocketThunder suggested.  Drive it home.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Lostsheep_01

I think that Mopar makes a cream to get rid of that itch.

:iagree:

One thing I never understood about the styling on those lumps...what's with the 1/2 side windows? :ahum:
Whatever styling exercise they were going for there...

I'd rather have the '08 Ferd in the other thread.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

actually i have followed the design since the first concept SVX in '91.
later they made a station wagon version too..
the designer is G.G. perhaps you've heard of him did the Delorian among other famous designs...
while some of the Japanese  went the luxury route. Aura, Infinity, Lexus etc... Subaru went after the Audi quatro...
mitsu 3000 and steath with this design...
it's known as the Japanese Toronado among the SVX faithful...
I knew some wouldn't get it but that's ok...
built in low numbers it is a standout design and has loyal following...

I like it man... they were really cool when they first came out and they still have a pretty neat draw to them. Definitely not something you see everyday - the Subi H-6 engine is pretty good too, if it was maintained properly it should be good for many more miles.
