How should I reinstall 73 UCA with alignment studs?

In putting on my UCA on one side of my 73, I noticed it would be almost impossible to tighten the nuts on the alignment studs, since they will just spin around. It's just a t-bolt that sits on the k-frame and goes through a support plate where the UCA bolts to on the alignment strut bar. I tried to tighten them just to snug it up until I lower the car with engine/trans back in, but I couldn't even snug them up, because the t-bolt just moves around under the support plate and there's no way to hold it from spinning. I was wondering if you can remove the plate and bolt the control arm and strut assembly to the support plate and t-bolts snugly and then bolt the support plate back on the K-frame and finish tightening it up. That's the only way I can figure to do it.

try to insert your hand between frame rail and plate to keep the bolt on top against the plate and then start to tight. Plate itself will keep stopped. Your idea is not bad either anyway. Both ways will work. I have used both.
