Is there a way to check oil pressure without a gauge? I think my 318 has no oil pressure but i dont think the gauge works or its right and I have very little fuel and oil pressure. Can I pull the valve cover off to check anything? The engine is a 318 in a 74 Charger.
Thnaks.

If the lifters are quiet then you have some oil pressure, but I'd get a hold of a screw in gauge just to be sure.

i wouldn't run it anymore until you get a gauge on there.
just to be safe.

Does anybody have a link to a screw-in gauge?
