I only thought they made copper, yellow and red 06 Daytonas but check out this one. Its a sublime Daytona. Im not a huge fan of 06's but the Daytonas and SRT-8s arent bad.

The dealer close to my garage has had one for more than a month but I only manage to see it after dark I'll have to swing by on a weekend to see it in the sunlight.

Whatever. I dont know what the heck the big deal is about the new Chargers. There not that bad. People are just pissed because they have the Charger name. Big freaking woop! Of course, I like the new Challenger better but the Charger is what it is and I like it.

Actually, Dodge has some very cool new colors coming out that mimick the hi-impact colors of 1970. That Sublime color is actually a PEARL color, with hints of metallic pearl in it. The new colors have the same names as the old ones.
Some others are Plum Crazy & Hemi Orange, both pearls & VERY cool. I saw the color chips when I was at my local auto body supplier getting Sublime for my current project '69. If I knew beforehand how cool the new pearl Sublime was, I probably would have went for that instead.

Damn, that new purple is lookin' more like a driver by the minute. A few months ago I almost bought a new Red Daytona, as I was waiting to see how much they were gonna give me for my Bronco, the car was sold prior to me getting there 2 hours before, salesman didn't realize that till it was to late on my behalf, oh well.

The colors on the 06 daytonas were Go MAnGo orange (the copper color) and Top Banana Yellow. LATE in the year, they added Tor Red (the bright red) .

The 07s get the SRT wheels and are available in Plum Crazy, Sublime and probably another color that will be announced later in the year.

People can say what they like, but the ONLY reason I ddon't have an 06 Charger is that when I bought my truck it was because I NEED A TRUCK!

I REALLY like those cars.

skip68

I hate to admit it but I wouldn't mind driving the new charger either.  :2thumbs: I do wish it had more lines like the 2nd gens but it is a nice looking car. I'm proud that the dodge charger name lives on and at least it has a V8 unlike those made in the 80s.  :punkrocka:.

Err..umm...yes? The name has everything to do with what it actually is. That's the point in naming it.

I'll admit the Plum in that picture (as far as the paint on that particular car) looks good. But it's mostly the picture. Could be a Plum Crazy Maxima with a hockey stripe and nice rims - same effect.

Different name, or change the styling and remove two doors.

No matter what it's called though, that front end does nothing for me except when the illusion kicks in. When you look straight on at it and it looks like a nice wide front end that goes up to meet that windshield. But it goes away when you see it from any other angle -- in relation to the rest of the car, the wrap-around effect, how it is aborted right after the front wheels. Does nothing for me - almost bothers me more than the two extra doors.

it's pretty blunt

I saw a truckload of Sublimes heading towards the Detroit border.

I was headed in the other direction. I'm sure I was about 3 kms away when it caught my eye. :D

I ordered my company car a couple of weeks ago.
Initially, I ordered black and less than an hour later I saw those pics of the the blue bee.

I sent off a request to change the colour to Marine Blue Pearl (which codes out to PB6 or B6 :) 0
My request was accepted, but somewhere along the line they dropped the ball.
When I got the order confirmation last week, it says Black.

Oh well. I can dress it up like an RT and push it to the prom.

Chatt69chgr

The best part about all this is that when the new Challenger does come out, it should be available in all of the old colors that we like so much.  My friend wants a plum crazy with white interior.  Looks he has a pretty good chance of getting one--------IF THEY DON'T PRICE US OUT OF THE MARKET.

They seem plentiful around here. This is a local dealership.

Paint it on any color and add any performance exterior treatment, still will look some brownish to me

Well at least then it wouldn't have a catfish grille, a 69 Chevelle rear 1/4 window and a 70 Cuda rear beltline.

A 5 minute q&d chop of a '99 with a couple minor mods -- toned down that grill on the front, and added a bit more third gen into the mix :)
