I just got off the phone w/a friend of mine from here in Alaska. He just drove back from Shreveport,Louisiana. On his way back he stopped at a guys place that had over 500 mopars. Mostly challengers and cudas. When he went up to the woman at the gate, where cars are lined up in front, he asked are they for sale, she said yes, but not yet. The old guy died two days ago she said. Funeral hasn't even been taken care of yet. My buddy took over 25 photos of the cars up front and around the yard. Hes in Canada right now and will be back here soon. I will post photos of what he has taken. Has anyone heard of this place or been there also?
Mark
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

No, but keep us updated. A solid Cuda's worth the ride! :yesnod:

Sounds like that's gonna be one rich widow soon.  I'm surprised you'd post this story without pics, coming from someone who's so quick to call BS on others' stories.  So lets see 'em!   :icon_smile_wink:

Re-read my post and settle down there, kiddo.  :pity:  I read every word of your post, did you read mine?  I never called BS.  All I said is I was surprised you would post the story without pics, since you're generally such a skeptic regarding the claims of others.  Calm down.  I'm looking forward to seeing the pics when you get them.

Sometimes I wish I never owned a mopar. I wonder if chevy/ford guys act like idiots and ask dumb questions.  ::)

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I wish I had the popcorn franchise for this place.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Haven't heard from my bud Mike yet. Last time I spoke w/him about the place, he said the guys name was Martin Stuart or Stewart? As told, the front row of the drive way is blocked off by challengers and cudas that need attention, not drivable cars up front. Terrible One, since you live near by, any chance you can take a look also or?

Well when I say close, I mean a couple hours, but if I'm heading that way sometime I will for sure look into it.

You should be embarrassed for asking such a question.

I'm not far from Shreveport either and am very interested.

bigblock4speedman

Mark, have you heard from your buddy that saw this place?  Can you contact him and find out where it is? I would like to check it out.

Thanks
Jeff, bigblock4speedman

Well like so many other threads on this board where someone claims to have found the Holy Grail of the hobby they come up short. Why post without pics. And then claim to be able to produce the photo's in a few days. Then let a month pass without the photo's still.

Did Charger Punk put you up to this? :)

Read what I typed. If you have nothing good to say, don't respond. I have no idea why I haven't heard from my friend Mike yet. I was not there in LA. Did you understand that part of what I wrote? Gees, some peoples kids. When I hear back from him, I'll post photos. There are other members on line who live near there. It can't be that hard to find the place I'm sure. Its along the highway there. Ask around there and I'm sure whoever looks will find it. Also smartass, I'm in Alaska, if I was closer, I'd go there myself just to settle this discussion. Ask Travis, he lives in LA. I'm sure hes heard of the place since hes so into mopars there.

Did your buddy say what the cars looked like?  I mean are they in good shape?  I would amagin it looks like a wrecking yard full of good projects.  500,  :o wow.  Can you amagin just walking around in there?  :icon_smile_cool: There would have to be at least a hemi or 6pack there.  Man that would be cool. :icon_smile_cool:  Good luck with the pictures and try to get in there.   Chuck................

actually i haven't . there was a place i knew of outside of shreveport wherre the guy had maybe 150-200. he was old then(could be him) the old lady wife at the time drove a challenger every day. he did have a few cudas and challengers, but not a whole bunch. he had a lot of 3rd gen chargers, 7 68-70 ones, but most were toast or picked clean. he was pretty much an unadvertised mopar salvage yard. very nice and cheap too.i got a radiator i needed for my 69 at the time for $30 bucks. if it's him sucks that he died. that is the only place i knew of anywhere around. surely i would have heard of another if it had 500. no one can keep that good of a secret around here, especially with mopar collectors guide around etc. for the record sheveport is 4 hours away, i'd be glad to go up there and check it out, see if it's the same place. it's been so long i don't even remember exactly how to get to the one i knew about.. ask your buddy if it was on HWY 171
i haven't been there since 98, it was funny to see his wife at the time drive up in a  nice challenger

Travis, thats the place. Highway 171. My buddy Mike told me in an email hes buying some e-body parts from the lady next time hes down in the area. Not sure how many cars are there now, but Mike said there had to have been at least 500. Hope its true myself. I don't doubt my buddy, but being so far way does suckass.
