The 'Cuda, El Camino and the New Yorker, have been sitting there for over a year now!     
The Bel Air just showed up but that's now way to treat it!     
I was driving in Everett one POURING down rain night and saw a '68 Charger sitting out in the open getting drenched, did not have my camera then.     
Another day I was driving to Bothell High School and saw a green AMX sitting out in the open, it looked as though it had been there for a while!!     
My car is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO babied and I just can not understand how other people can treat their cars that way!

not far from me there's a guy with a beautiful yellow Boss 302 definate show quality that sits next to a beautiful 69 or 70 Cougar, they sit out all the time rain or shine, all summer and fall. The last time I saw them there was 6" of snow laying on them (would have been a cool photo)
To each his own, I wouldn't leave mine out but personally I like seeing other peoples rides sitting out, makes for good scenery.

yup, i look for neato rides all the time on the backroads.(although they are not in abundance here in maine)

If they didn't leave em out, i'd never see them, and i'd never know if they were for sale or not unless i asked.

Either buy em up from him or just enjoy the nostalgia.  If he won't sell them, then shoot him and take them.

You must live near me then. In Wisconsin? I know of those same cars (I think) by the West Bend Airport on HWY33? It is actually a '68 Cougar and it is just a plain Mustang I think. He used to have that turquoise '69 Mach 1 and I think the car was just repainted to look like a Boss 302. It is starting to rust too under the front fender by the door. And if you look in his garage when he has it open, Looks like there is a old '60 Falcon wagon resto project with a ton of junk

yeah those are the ones. So the yellow one used to be the blue mach1 ?
I drive past there a couple times a month.

Not a blue Mach 1, a Turquoise one, and it had Cragar SS wheels on it. I'm not positive either that it is the same car, but I think it is. Reason being it has a Mach 1 hood scoop on it. Boss 302s didn't have them.

I should add that those cars are driven a lot too when its nice out.

There aren't any neat rides sitting out anywhere near where I live anymore.  The DNR and other forces of evil have conspired to rid every yard in my county of anything that doesn't run.  Only on a rare occassion do you find a halfway decent older car sitting out with a for sale sign on it.  Everything else has been cleaned out in favor of preserving the ground water.

I was thinking that maybe there should be a law whereupon: If you have a neeto ride, and you leave it out in the elements and neglect it to the point where it starts to wildly deteriorate, you should be listed on a "vehicular offenders" website...and have your picture stapled to light poles in your neighbourhood, etc.

And, if you ever mutter the words "I'm going to fix it up someday", or "I'm saving it for my son" (daughter, grandchildren, dog, cat, friend, or whatever), you should be lashed across the hood of the vehicle in question and whipped with a fan belt until you submit!

I have no problem with the hoarding of cars, parts or paraphanelia, but only if you can treat them with the kind of respect a caring owner would give.
