Hard, yes. Impossible, no. What caused it to come out though?

Chryco Psycho

depends which freeze plug , the one in the rear of the head is going to be tough

ChargerSG

Its the one in the rear on the passaengerside, the motor(bottom) been built yearsago then put togehter(they guy who did it is sadly dead) and i have been running it on a bottle, it looks like it have gotten rust(mayby not changed when he painted and putt the block in), it havent been in freezeing weather so it havent poopped for that. I recken i have to take the exaustmanifoild off...

It's doable in the car. You will need to get a straight shot at the plug to replace it. The real issue is that if it rusted out that tells me who ever rebuilt it did not use BRASS plugs when rebuilt.

This also tells me that if you replace just that one you will be leaking at all the rest soon.   Also if it's been long enough to rust out a steel plug it may be time to do some freshening to the rest of the motor..    :yesnod:

I think the guy who rebuilt it dident use very good plugs(cheap really thin ones), i guess when i changed that one it will blow another one but thats the hard truth, and after chaning worst one first its only gonna go easyier with the rest :icon_smile_big:

If you're not concerned with originality, there's rubber expandable freeze plugs you can get. They're tons easier to get into hard to reach spots. I've used 3 of them on different occasions & haven't had one fail on me. My Exploder is currently wearing one & it's been there for two years so far.

They look like this...

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Dorman is one, I think there's a few others too. You can get them at "real" parts stores, like Napa. :icon_smile_big:

I think the ones in the side of the block are 1-5/8, maybe someone here knows for sure.
Did you find it at a parts store? If so, they should have the sizes by application.
