I bought my 71 top from Hardens 2 years ago. Got some other things from them as well. No problems and the stuff all showed up in good time and was all there.

Another vote for Legendary here.  (don't they supply the ones for Paddock and Year One?)

I was talking to a fella last night about having the vinyl top installed on my car and he asked me if the backside was white as opposed to bare vinyl.  I told him it was from Legendary and and that it did in fact have the thin white backing, almost fuzzy and he said it was not the "ultimate" as far as tops go.

Anyone ever hear of this before?

Mine the same as the one in the attached photo.

I got mine from Legendary. I think the vinyl from a 72 will get you what your looking for.

I've never heard of anything different.  I wouldn't worry about it mine has the white backing, and it looks great after 5 years now.  Where does this "ultimate" vinyl come from anyway FoMoCo?

The fellas told me he gets his vinyl tops from some place in NC.

I agree, the one I have will do just fine.

I was curious as to whether or not anyone had heard of this before.
