If the bolt pattern is the same as the bolt pattern on my Coronet, will 15" steel wheels off of an 84 Dodge Ram be OK for the back of my Coronet? I want to put steel rims on the back, but dont want it to look stupid! So are they close or the same as what would have been used in 1970? Thanks guys!!!

THE CHARGER PUNK

15'' steelies were only on 6-pack and hemi cars, why would u wanna change? rallyes are correct

Mean 318

The car has Road Wheels 14" on it now and it is hard to find good tires for them so I was hoping to put steels on the back. I am going for the retro Drag Racing look right now.

Charger1973

These wheels came from my friends dads Ford Ranger  :P

Wheels from a D-series half-ton will be fine, they are a 5 on 4.5", just like your Coronet. Wheels from a W-series half-ton are 5 on 5".

It is a 2wd so that should make it a d-150, I think thats right.

I'm not sure what the 94 and up are. They went to a 16 inch tire.   I have seen some of the new 3/4 ton 8 lug wheels on older 3/4 tons though. But that would make sense using the Dana axles early on.

I didn't say they were different from 2wd to 4wd. I said they were different from D series to W series. Not all 4x4 Rams are W series (Power Wagon/ Power Ram) trucks. You of all people should know this, Mister "Truck Aficionado"...

W is the letter designation for 4wheel drive.    If you refer to a W100  its a half ton 4 wheel drive.  In the 70's they used the Power Wagon name on their W series trucks.  The later 89 and up Power Ram may be different but the old D and W  were no different wheel wise other then 2wd or 4wd. The Power Ram era trucks may be different due to going to a 16 inch tire at some point.

I have a set of these that I used to mount slicks on, got them out of a junkyard about 8 years ago, paid 40 bucks for the set.  If you measure, you will find that they are 9" wide too.  I think they are a way better alternative to cop car wheels with the oval holes in them if you were going for a "steelie" look like on a superstocker or 6bbl roadrunner type of thing.

I am really happy with them! I think it gives it a 1970s street/strip racer! Thats the look I am going for now... untill I can afford a full resto :P
