O.K. The girl I'm seeing lives in a Penthouse in downtown Sacramento... She has nice jewelery, and drives a nice Sequoia...  She tells me she spent $1,100 on her frikin' PURSE!  No S___.  So I tell her I don't think it's possible to spend that much, and that it's totally ludicrous.  So the tells me to look them up on eBay....

This shocked me:   :o

Title says:  "AMAZING PRICE"...  wow.
All I'm saying is you couild buy an R/T CHARGER!!!!  A NICE one.

Look at their feedback...  They sell the hell ouf of them.  I'm in the wrong business.  What could it take to make those?  $400 bucks with the cheesy tiny diamonds total???  What gives?

And women give us crap for spending $30k on a Charger. :rotz:

It's all BULLSHIT Bull...  They would take the same 30k we would spend on a car and do something stupid like buy a purse (not all women)...  It's always gonna be a battle of who wins.  Ya' gotta keep your women in check.

I showed that auction to my girlfriend expecting to surprise her... instead all she said was "Duh it's Hermes! Of course it sold for that!"   :rotz:

As is the case with our hobby, the clones are also popular and a third of the price!   :yesnod:

Arthu®

I knew about them, never liked them though. I am much more of a fan of Guess (not as expensive but much nicer IMO) just like a Shakey said there are a lot of clones out there, I am sure that 50% of the LV purses you see out there are bought somewhere in Turkey or something as fake as a 383 R/T Charger and a lot of the wrong people buy them. I wouldn't want to be seen with a LV suitcase any day. Just as I am not going to drive a BMW M3... It is all about taste people, personally some of those expensive products (not only purses) attract the wrong kind of people (i.e. druglords and gangsters or wannabe's) so if you got any class you just don't buy it... I am wondering what brand Aficionado's girl had.

That definitely falls in the "too much money-not enough brains" category. :rotz:
Which isn't a female only category BTW, just people in general.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

However, I can honestly say I wish I had about 10 Hermes Birkin bags to sell on Ebay right now. :yesnod:

The past two years for Christmas I have purchased my wife one of these types of purses. This Christmas I purchased her a Prada purse, right around $800.00 and the year before was a Burberry purse that was $1200.00. I have no problem buying these for her, because when I want something for the Charger, she never says a word about it. It works out great.

My wife loves Classic cars and has a couple of her own. I have been with her for a long time ......yeah the same year I got my Charger - 1978. I never laid a hand on her and she makes more money than me....BUT if she came home with a 800-1200 purse I would be kicking her ASS!

Sounds like the chic is way outta your league. High maintenance chics are always a handfull. Pleasing them isn't easy. Next thing we'll here from you is that you sold your car to buy her dinner!

I'm sure that the $2,000.00 you spent or her over the past two years has made things much easier for you when it comes time to buying something you need/want whether it's for your Charger or not.  Smart move!

Well if you have your money and she has her money, why would you kick your Wife's ass if she bought an expensive hadnbag with her own money?   :shruggy:

Actually It is our money. I am just the one in charge of our savings and she knows I spend money wisley. My wife knows if I am getting tools, car parts etc I am not blowing my money. Usually I tell her If I am buying something that is significant. I asked her last night about the purse and she just laughed. She said she wouldn't think of wasting that amount on just for a purse. She usually gets what she wants. I guess maybe she isn't high maintenance like some others. If I went and brought home a 800 dollar wallet I would need my ass kicked too!

Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris
