THE CHARGER PUNK

Hemidoug

Nice car, but it would be better if it actually had a MOPAR engine in it. The Dart engine is based on the big block CHEVY (BOOO....HISSS). A Hemi belongs in that engine compartment! I hate it when someone crams a GM motor in a Mopar. :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :icon_smile_dissapprove: :icon_smile_dissapprove: :icon_smile_dissapprove:

I like the way the grille is painted there.  doesn't look too bad!

Troy

I have seen that car in person and met the owner. It's in St Louis. To be honest, he doesn't really care if people complain about the engine because every other car on the track that he races has a custom built motor in it. That engine is no more Chevy than it is Mopar but people watching at the track have no idea as it's blasting by. He does exhibition runs where he'll loosen the wheelie bars and carry the wheels. It runs in the 7s I believe.

FYI: that is a steel body - only the fenders hood and trunk lid are fiberglass. It's also a real R/T that was numbers matching when he got it. He couldn't manage to get it titled so he made it into a race car and sold off all the original parts to guys restoring other Chargers. I think he said the motor went to WA.

CudaKen took me to see that car too.  The paint job is flat awesome, and Troy described it pretty well.

Apart from having that BBC, it's about the coolest all-steel bodied dragstrip Charger you'll ever see.  The chebby engine might knock it down a rung or two, but it's still a very nice car.

I was going to say wasn`t cudaken around that car a while back ??
Where is Ken anyway ?

Ghoste

I remember that thread. Is this the same car, then?
Looks pretty schweet!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
