What no pics of the garage
What was once a thing of spaceous beauty...is now a crowded pit. :'(
But I'm slowly making improvements. ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

Be sure to check to make sure your dryer line isn't missing on your dryer vent in the crawl space....lol :rotz:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

RD

wow... back from the dead huh?  interesting.. anywho... update time... footings in place, slab laid down on foundation... waiting for a warmup of temps.

Congrats!  I am about to make a post, I am moving to KS soon!  In July, in Shawnee.......Job is relocating me there, and housing seems affordable!  I may try to rent in overland park for now (I'm 23), and if I like KS, it looks like KS is the place to own a home, because otherwise I couldn't afford it.  Good luck on your house..... :yesnod:

awesome, a new member to the kansas mafia.  choose your area carefully and do your research on property taxes.  Johnson county has the highest mill levy due to the higher income in that county, so you may want to look at other counties for possible house purchases.

also, i believe they have the highest homeowner's association per household in the entire state of Kansas.  that in itself is a big crapper on anyone's parade if you ask me :D

congrats Jamey, one of the biggest buys in your life time! Very nice castle if you compare it to our homes. A house like that would also go into the 400K overhere.
Got a pic of your garage?
Enjoy! CB

That's great, get a hold of me when you arrive. I own a house 8 min from Shawnee; I'll give you the tour of the land, you'll love it here. There is a lot of MoPar stuff to do too, and Charger only meets where the Mafia hangs out.  :yesnod:  :icon_smile_cool:

since you all will want to know more about the garage, its a 24x30, 22x24' front apron, and has a water line ran to it.  I personally instructed the electrician on where I wanted all the outlets :D.

Sweet an,
My wife and I have been in our first house we bought together for about 2 years. It is the best feeling.
How much land did you get?
Around here in Mentor,Ohio, you are looking at about 200,000-250,000 for a nice size home with and acre of land.
The good thing is, just like Mopars, a house is a good investment! :Twocents:
