That sucks. I'm glad that happened before you got a car on it, though. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

No, not pre assembled. The cables are in a box with other hardware, & you have to snake it through the lift & get it around all the guide wheels once you assemble it. It really comes down to where the cable decides to go as you push it. Ever try to thread a needle?

Me too, & it's all the more reason to test the lift with the wife's car.  :D

I'm planning on building another garage soon. I'd like to put a lift in each bay so I can double park...3 car garage=six car parking.  What ceiling heght do you guys recommend-12FT- Higher?

How much Headroom is there under one of these lifts when all the way up?  I'm 6'4" Should I buy a Hard Hat to go with the lifts?

I was on the Bend Pak website (to order a replacement cable that I damaged) & spotted another version of the 4 post lift I have. It's taller by 12" & might be high enough for what you were looking for. It's the HD-9STX model with a standard width, or the HD-9XW that's wider. The two that I have are HD-9 models that are the lower height, but the wider width.

Here's the page with all the dimensions:

Wow...I thought that kind of stuff only happened to me.  Nice that it didn't become a bigger problem later. :eyes:

Good news, I am getting a replacement cable for free. I just spoke to the guy I bought the lifts from & he said he'd just send me one. I explained what had happened when I routed the cable over the bolts, & he said that it does happen at times. I expected him to get a price & call me back, but he just called me back & said he'll ship it out at no cost. I like knowing they stand behind their product like that & wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.  :2thumbs:
