71 Bee Man,

I've got to agree with you there and your Super Bee looks awesome.  3/4 shots from the rear on a 3rd Gen is pretty cool too.

Jim

Mate, how good does your car look. Do we need any more proof about 3rd Gens ?

I like the 3rd gens with body color painted bumpers, Its still 2nd gen, 3rd gen 1st gen for me, but I would trade my 68 for a 72 rallye in the same shape any day.  I don't know why, but I would.

:iagree:

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Ma Mopar took the B-body in to the personal luxury class with the 3rd gen body style. It's long, sleek, and oh so cool! I like the first and second gens too but the third gen..... just gotta have it!

Dont worry all you first and second gen guys, It's okay. Everyone cant own the coolest car Mopar ever built!  :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_cool: :icon_smile_tongue: :icon_smile_tongue:

I have a 72 Rallye and I would NOT trade for a 68 in the same shape, sorry!

One thing I have noticed...guys that 'prefer' 2nd gens, have never owned a 3rd gen. I have owned many of both, and nothing compares to driving a 3rd gen.

Nacho,
I bet that car gets a ton of attention in Venezuela.  Looks real good.

I have owned both and if I could only have one Charger, it would be a 2nd gen!  I love all Chargers and everyone's car is great, but my preference is definitely a 2nd gen Charger.

Yeah, I agree, they finally got the lines right from 71-74. I guess the 3rd time really is the charm. :stirthepot: :boxing_smiley: :argue: :moon:

I have nothing against 3rd gens, but its hard to ignore the 2nd gens.....   ;D  ;D

No one's ignoring 2nd gens...sheesh...  :icon_smile_big:

What I scratch my head at sometimes is how the relationship between the 2 generations is often overlooked. Many descriptions I've found (on the net) refer to changes introduced in '71 as worlds apart, I mean as severe as the comparison with an '06, 80's or Cordobas. Dunno, I haven't been out once where I didn't hear someone say "..Charger" from the sidewalk somewhere. I dunno, maybe I'm on crack!

as a rebuttal, I offer this profile of my parade float to stir the pot..  :pity:

Lighten that first pic up and try again.  Your Charger is AWESOME and deserves the proper photo credit.  Try "auto correct" :icon_smile_big:

Yes... thanks for your words. Needs some touchs because it does have some chips and need a good polish job even paint is just a year and a half old.
