G'day guys,

snapped this pic today whilst driving in the glorious Sydney sunshine and thought I'd share it with you all. :D

Just how good do these 3rd Gen cars look side-on ?  :icon_smile_wink:

I had a grin like a split watermelon while I was driving it down the highway. :drive:

call me crazy, but i'd even take that 3rd gen, albeit, i would redo the paint to make it all white and do something with the rear floorboards in the back shown in another post.  heck i'd even drive it around like that for awhile just for the shock value. :METAL: :METAL: :METAL:

i agree, a charger is a charger, even 1st gen's have some real cool stuff going on, like that back seat deal.

Nice one Peter! That's probably the coolest 3rd gen pic I have ever seen!!! Beautiful car!  :yesnod:

of course the best looking cars always take great pics!but i am partial to the 3rd gens

mikesbbody

for me the 3rd gens have a edge over other chargers they just seem "smoother" for example, flusher door handles, no front side vent glass, hidden wipers, bulge hoods, etc etc 66-67 are before my time and 68-70's look abit "blocky" to me but at the end of the day all chargers are awesome!

To be honest, I'm also a Mopar Tragic....I love them all. I just couldn't help but smile when I had the car in the viewfinder - she really did look great. I think sometimes we forget just how unique our cars are, until we see them in the street alongside everything else. :2thumbs:

I'm certainly looking forward to coming to the States this year and going to the Mopar Nats. The biggest Mopar show in Australia only gets around 450 cars, and 90% are Aussie Mopars. It'll be great to see soome 3rd Gens close up and not on a computer screen. :boogie:

Hope you all have a great New Year.

Hello Superbee man. You take amazing pictures.I would like to know what type of camera that you use. I am looking for a digital camera at the moment hoping to take equally amazing pictures of my 3rd gen. Charger to share with everyone. My problem is that when I post pics. they turn out very dark on the web?

G'day mopar1,

would you believe I use a cheap little Olympus 3.2 megapixel camera I bought when I visited San Francisco in 2003. I've found that it's not so much the camera, but the lighting that is available. There are certain times of the day when you just don't take pictures.

I plan on getting a better camera soon when we visit the States again this year. I used a firends 50mm digital camera to take pics of my Bee a while back and the difference was I had to stand about 150 feet back from the car, but the difference in the picture was amazing. It ended up like the ones you see in car mags where the car actually commands all the attention - the background just faded and you couldn't help but take notice of the car.

The picture I've attached was taken with my little Olympus. The lighting wasn't really great, but I still think it's a good shot. It's my Bee and my friends Australian Charger R/T.

If you don't know too mu7ch about cameras I'd just get something small with at least 4 megapixel and practice with it. I've taken some great shots with mine. Remember, it's all to do with light, and the angle.

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,

What I scratch my head at sometimes is how the relationship between the 2 generations is often overlooked. Many descriptions I've found (on the net) refer to changes introduced in '71 as worlds apart, I mean as severe as the comparison with an '06, 80's or Cordobas. Dunno, I haven't been out once where I didn't hear someone say "..Charger" from the sidewalk somewhere. I dunno, maybe I'm on crack!
