Okay, so I found a 69 RT in this guys yard by my house. Its originally hemi orange with black interior. The car has 69 tailights, 69 grille, 69 quarters but 68 fenders. The owner says that the car came original with 68 fenders because they put 68 fenders on early 69s to get rid of the extra 68 parts. Do u guys know if this is true?

Take some pictures and post them up.  That doesn't sound right.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

not to mention that they dont mount the same it can be done but it requires modifications and i have my doubts the factory really cobbled them up to use up fenders that they would just sell to body shops for collision repair

:iagree:

Don't forget they'd have to change or modify the wiring harness to light up the 68 side markers on the front fenders, then they'd still have the 69 reflectors on the rear quarters-not sure old uncle Sam would have gone for that combo ::)

Correct me if I'm wrong    69 bronzeT5....Isn't 69 Dodge T5 Called T5 "Copper"  Not T5 "Bronze"? :shruggy:

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge

Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,

Sounds completely legit to me...they even made a Daytona that way.
Here it is, completely factory original, right down to the original paint! :D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

The Daytona I noticed has the rare Front Spoiler variation. That option only came when your ordered the 68 marker lights on nose accompanied with the factory 69 marker lights on fender. Should sell that rare gem at Barrett -Jackson. LEON.

I scored a '68 charger w/a '69 front clip on it. Yes, the car was wrecked during its years on the road. This kid is almost as full of it as Silver!
