Can a mig 110v be used to weld aluminized exhaust???

Only if you have Argon gas incorporated with it.....otherwise...it's just a cracker box  for tacking sheet metal.

I can't remember exactly what it is, but I think there is something you need to do with your cable before ruining aluminum wire threw it.
Because the wire will grind away as it travels threw your cable and plug it up.
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

Its not gonna be easy with a MIG and little to no experience welding. TIG is probably way better then MIG.

Heres a clip from Hobart on how to weld the aluminum.

1. The best feeding of wire for aluminum is done with a spool gun. If you can't use a spool gun, use the shortest gun possible and keep the gun as straight as possible. Use Argon only for shielding gas. Only use a push gun technique when welding aluminum.
2. If you are having feeding problems, one thing you can try is a contact tip that is one size bigger than your wire.
3. The most common wire type is ER4043 for all-purpose work. ER5356 is a stiffer wire (easier to feed), and is used when more rigid, higher-strength weld properties are needed.
4. Clean the aluminum before welding, to remove the oxide layer. Use a stainless steel wire brush used only for cleaning aluminum.
5. Fill the crater at the end of the weld to avoid a crack. One way to do this is to dwell in the weld pool for a second at the end of the weld.

Remember though...he's speaking of a little 110v cracker box...

i weld aluminzed pipe all the time with a hobart 175 mig and .023 wire with c25 gas (argon c02 mix)  but im sure it can be welded with straight c02.   ive never tryed it with flux core wire but im sure it would work fine.   if your 110 can use gas,  it would be much easier.

aluminized pipe is not aluminum,  it just has a aluminum coating,  much like galvinized only much easier to work with and doesnt let off toxic fumes. you weld aluminized pipe the same as metal pipe.

practice on a couple scrap pieces then giver hell
