Thanks. I'll keep those hoods and trunk lids in mind. I have one extra coronet hood and a couple of 69 trunk lids. I passed on a perfect 70 coronet hood for $100 back in February at the Columbia, MO swap meet. Thought about that mistake all of the way home.
Just as I got started on this daytona stuff, we got busy at the dealership and it hasn't slowed down yet. I keep thinking about just working out of the new shop and having a little more time to pursue this wing car stuff but I can't help but worry about whether I can stay busy enough with the resto work to make it all pay off. Decisions, decisions.

What's the story on the coronet hood? Is it the one that I didn't buy at Columbia, MO last year? I thought about that one all of the way home. The problem with buying hoods is the shipping expense. I need to be on the lookout for the trunk lids and hoods when I'm at these swap meets and can haul them home. It's pretty much the same thing for the trunkl lids. I passed on some decent trunk lids at St. Louis last fall for around $50 to $75 each and I had the Daytona Ram pickup there and could have hauled a few of them home with me.

Larry O

I spot welded the insert at the front edge where it rests against the outer skin. The problem with plug welding it would be the distortion of the outer skin. I didn't spot weld Howard's and I'll need to take it back apart, clean the area under the insert, re-assemble it and spot weld it.  I can't stand for something to not be right.
I circled the spot welds on Rene's pic of his trunk lid.

I do not know if it is the one you were eyeing, but I know Chad picked up a coronet hood there because he asked for me to deliver it to his storage facility.  He may want to sell it or not, I am not sure.  What color was the hood you were eyeing?

I got a limited supply of hoods and trunklids and fenders. Its shipping that can add up.We used to use a place called forward air freight .You brought your hood you packaged to there terminal. The recieving buyer had to go to there terminal to pick it up .But it was only $50.00 to ship a hood

I am in need of a hood for my other 70 charger. Got a spare?

Dave , call me with a list of parts for sale , any deck lids ? Larry @609-315-2230

Are those 70 Coronet fenders or 70 charger fenders hanging from the rafters ?  Either way they're both getting hard to find. The coronet fenders that I finally found for my bird clone are on the verge of not being repairable. Very little rust but a lot of body damage to be straightened out.
Other than a decent pair of 70 coronet fenders, the only body parts that I need now are a 70 roadrunner rear bumper and an upper body (dutchman) panel.
I'm going to start looking at sheet metal parts at the swap meets a whole lot closer now.
