yeah my plans are to chop the back off and weld up a 68 dart rear end and quarters, and bolt up a 68 dart front so it basically is a 68 dart sedan, then paint it hot rod black on black steel rims with blackwall tires, ditch the bench seats and add 4 s/s seats with alluminum brackets like hemi darts,delete the side mirrors ,radio,arm rest,window winders(add seat belts for windows), add plexiglass windows all the way around and add simpson harnesses for each seat. add a 4-spd with hurst shifter connecte to a 392 hemi

Sounds like a lot money and time being thrown at a 4 door dart.........................but it's your car!

Hell, if you wanted a 68 Dart sedan that bad, you could have bought mine when I put it up for sale.  I believe you were a member then.

Back a number of years ago, I drove a buddy's big block dart...  that was scary fast.

My old boss has a big block dart. Its a '70 340 4 speed scat pak car now w/a 440 auto overdrive. Sublime w/black stripe and int. I posted photos of it in 3404 dart girls topic somewhere here. I applaud the charger punks web info. he drops here for us, but his latest attempt to build a car, true or false, is beyond my imagination.

392  hemis are cheap around here, theres a few for sale in the local buy and sells less then $700 and then you can say you have a hemi

However, converting the 76 to a 68 won't be.  You'd need a 68 donar car, so it'd make alot more sense to just drop the 392 into a 68, instead of using 2 cars to make one.

i paid 400 for my 71 dart,and its really a piece of shit,but solid underneath and complete,going to get rattlecan primered and bondo'd,and eventually a motor swap-going for a cheap hot rod with this one
