I admit I like 75 to 77 chargers Lets do a tribute

I have to admit I think that the 75 through 77 Dodge Chargers were great looking cars.I have been drawing alot of them in school with items like chin spoilers,hood scoops and door scoops along with go wings.Lets not forget that these things despite their performanse look alot better than the new charger.Post any and all pictures of these cars as a tribute to the forgotten!

Yep there is a cordoba Charger runs around town.  It don't get as many looks as my 2nd or 3rd gen.  Actually I prefer the 83-87 Shelby Chargers to the 75-77 cordoba style.

I have to disagree.....looks too much like an AMC Matador for my tastes. Very bland styling in a time in which Chrysler was not at their prime. I believe a Frenchman was in charge back then. One of the things he did to "save" the company was to trash ALL the metal dies and machining from the muscle car era. EVERYTHING went to the scrapyard, all the sheetmetal dies, all the engine castings (re HEMI), everything! We have him to thank for the lack of parts availability we have today. Just another reason to despise the French.....

My dad had a few Cordobas. '76 gold w/tan int. 318. '77 w/a 400 black w/red int.. '78 Cordoba w/a 400 red on red. '78 Magnum w/a 400. white w/ red int. Nice driving cars. Even my dad said they drove better than his Caddilacs he owned. Never did understand why they put Charger emblems on a Cordoba.

I agree!  My first was a Magnum which I still own.  Not as much respect as my 2nd gen chargers, but it sure drives and handles better.

They were nice cars, I had 3 of them.As soon as you trashed the Lean burn system they were even better.I would take ANY Charger but the new Creeder, those are like the the interbred child kept in the basement chained to the radiator.

I like Magnums ( not really Chargers ) over any other lates 70s and 80s earliers USA car ( maybe with mids 80 Monte Carlo exception ), Luxury, kinda charming and "agressive" look and good optioned, like T top etc...

Im sure there are some people out there whos favorite car is the 75 style Charger, Im not that guy but thats all good.  I know people who believe my 68 is ugly.  they are wrong, but thats there right

68  ugly?   I dunno...but my opinion is that '68  through '70 were the most beautiful cars ever made!!!   I just can't see someone saying that it would be ugly.    In my opinion...now  I stress highly...MY OPINION....I think that '66  and '67s  were ugly.  Third generation cars were beautiful as well.....75 and on....well....average.

First of all, a Cordoba is a "small" car?  What was big back in 77?  I had a '77 with a 400 (lean burn removed) in high school and that thing was a blast! didnt need gravel to get it to light em up!

I agree...there's really nothing special about 75-77 Chargers.....Or those little '80's 2.2 versions for that matter.   '66-74  is where it's at!!!

If you have to look twice to see if it is a Charger or a Cordoba........maybe it isn't really a Charger.  They just couldn't come up with a name for them. If it wasn't for the second gens they would have not made any site for Chargers......my opinion I would take a Dart or Valiant over the 75-77.
Try to get aftermarket parts........whoops .....there isn't any ......unless it is a multifit part. And for the compact Charger.....please!

You're right, '76 only. You could get the base Charger or a Charger Sport that were rebadged Furys. The Charger SE and Daytona were rebadged Cordobas.

One could do worse than a Charger Sport.

Actually, the Cordoba and crap like that probably helped them to hang on long enough for Iaccoca to come over.  The Cordoba sold quite well and the cheaper disco Charger went along for the ride.  Having 440 powered New Yorkers on dealers lots during the first Arab oil embargo (the same event introduced people to those friendly Japanese companies like Toyota and Honda) along with an incredibly bloated white collar staff at Highland Park had a lot more to do with going broke.

I had a 77 Cordoba. Black with red pinstripes, red corynthian leather, sunroof, 400 CID V8.....I loved that car. It was a great car. The only issue I had were the rear inside opera lights would get as hot as the sun going supernova. Had alot of friends burn themselves on that innocent looking lense.

i love the 78/79 magnums,my old boss has one with t tops,white with red guts and only 46000 miles,really comfortable driver,not very fast but cool looking-if i could find a clean one it would be my daily summer driver
