I just got my power back, one hell of a winstorm, maybye the worst I have seen up here. Power went out
last Thursday, of coarse the day the Seaha*$@*k's tanked another game..... 8dys no power, 6dys can't get
out of our street..........  :popcrn:

There has to be some other story's from people in this area ''Redmond Woodinville''  or others?

Just two houses down, 7 tree's went across the road and took most of the power lines and poles with
it, what a mess. Only one tree mad it to the house across the street, they alway fall that direction.........

Hey TK, RTPTRON, 3X and on, how are you guys?

Here is one direction on our little back road street, only about 50 houses past us, so we were not a
priority, thank god for lots of fire wood  :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

Glad you guys are ok. I'm also glad one of those trees didn't cave in your garage! :o

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

was wondering about your place Dan,  my power just came on yesterday afternoon but no cable :rotz: posting from parents house.  I have been trying to clear a old railroad grade trail from Duvall clear to Snoqualmie here at work, looks like its gonna take another week :o

Thank God for my generator

I bet, but if your neighbor was the only one on the block with a generator. And out in the open
on there deck closest to our bedroom, and ran the sun of a bitch till 11:30 several nights, and
starts it at 6:30am, you would want to kill the SOB.............. oh and of coarse they never offered
to hook up one fricken cord for a Quadriplegic  :flame: :flame:  I will talk with them soon............

Driving around out here is crazy, down tree's, down lines with no cones or sign., Try driving out here
in the dark, I did it, I don't recommend it. You can't see some lines till your on them, and these are
the main roads, its better today. These are the better roads as well.

We really lucked out up here in Everett area Dan.
It went out the night of the storm for about 3 hours (12am to 3am) and that was about it.
Oh and I lost one of my yard lights to the wind. That was all the damage I had. Counting my blessings to all you unfortunate souls down south of me. Looks like you guys got hit really hard.
Must of sucked loosing your power for all those day.
I'm set up pretty good for a 3 day emergency but I have got to get out and purchase one of those portable generators.

YEP IT BLOWS  ;D  NO DOUBT   :o

Other than the power out for 8dys, we were pretty lucky.....  well the storm decided
it wanted my ''tarport'' as I call them, into the fence 100ft away. I had 25, 1ft long stakes holding this
thing down in hard gravel, they are not recommended for high winds  :icon_smile_cool: :icon_smile_cool:

Well I was lucky there was no cars in it, riding mower and stuff. It is ripped beyond repair, and
some of the tubes broke right in two. Most of the X brackets are bent bad, oh well nothing hit
my house or my garage this year, thank God..........

My back yard.

Dan , what part of WA. are you in anyways? We have friends on Bainbridge IL. Lost power there he said and inside the house temp was a nasty 42* Yikes. Thats cold. I heard the winds were 96 mph in some places. We had 112 at the air port here a few years back, it wasn't pretty either. Good luck w/everything down there.

Hey Mark
I live in Redmond WA. near the border of Woodinville. I would say 17mi east of Seattle.
Two days before this storm hit, they said it was going to head north and not effect us
much at all. We had winds up to 79mph, and with wall to wall tree's with soaked wet ground
something was going to give, plus the winds pretty much head on in this area.

Dan,
Glad you made it through the storm.  We have a daughter out in the Fall City area.  They just got their power back on Wednesday.  Lost all of the refridgerated food, etc.  Fortunately, they has some friends that put them up until they go their power back.  If we were still living up in the area, I would be happy to come over and help put some of your stuff back together - sorry!  You would think as often as those storms keep knocking out the power and the cost to restore services, the power companies would start putting the lines underground.  Did you stay in your home during the outage or did someone put you up?  I understand it was getting pretty cold there last week.  Good thing nothing crashed down onto the garage.

We only lost power for a day and a half. My brother and his family live down on Maple Valley hiway got tired of being cold and went and lived with my parents for 6 days.

We went over to Leavenworth for 3 days and went cross-country skiing (it was beautiful). The people in the room next to us were from Woodinville and stayed until they finally got their power back Thursday AM.

I guess we got off easy!

I just seen this Dan.  :o  Glad you and P. are OK.  What a mess!!  We only had one neighbor lose a tree, but it was a big one.  You couldn't see the asphalt of the streets, they were so covered in branches, limbs up on our street.  Our power blinked a couple times but that was it, luckily.  Pearson Airport, which is 5 or so miles away reported 68 mph winds.  I believe that, the big firs up above our house to the east were swaying like never before.  The company I worked for was as busy as they wanted picking up trees for several days.
Merry Christmas ya'll up there and I hope that's it for the year.

Johnny SixPack

Dan, glad you finally got power back.

I have a friend in NY state and he finally got power back after 5 days.

His pix looking eerily like yours.

Looks to be a wild winter!
