Runs pretty nicely too!! Pete and I switched rides the other night. I tell you those Baer brakes will put you through the windshield if your are not ready for them............overall a very awesome ride. Can't wait to see the HEMI transplant.  :2thumbs:

Pete,
My wife has asked me to use late model seats in her superbird clone. What type of seats did you use and are those the headrests that came with them? They look like they would be confortable on long rides. My wife's only complaints on the long road trips has been how uncomfortable those old seats are. We plan to drive the sb clone cross country quite a bit and I want to make sure I get the seat thing correct the first time.

THE CHARGER PUNK

personally i find 70 high back b-body seats very comfortable, compared to the low back 68-9's

68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

I have a set of the 70 high backs but was thinking about using them in my 3rd gen. Might just have to find another set of buckets for the 3rd gen and use the 70's in the clone.

There isn't going to be much right about this superbird clone. Coronet R/T style hood, gilled fenders, Cuda dash, 6.1 hemi 5 speed automatic, 19" and 18" rims, small headlamps in grille opening, modified rear bumper, overhead console, classic a/c, magnum force front suspension, baer brakes, leather interior and many other mods. Those stock 70 seats may look a little out of place.  ::)

I met Pete Christmas eve morning at his home before the rat race at my home got started and then we drove to Captree boat basin here in LI, NY. Every Sunday morning there is a large gathering of classical and muscle cars at this location. We had a great time there and even a better time driving these Charger's. It was nice to see head's turn when Pete and I pulled up. My Charger is the 68 Charger, bronze in color, for those of you that don't know. I'm still having issues with my carburetor (Edelbrock 1813). Not enough carb for the INDY EZ heads. Saving money to get a new carb.  :drive: :drive: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
