I have a 72 Charger, and when I turned the key off...It just kept on running.  It was not Dieseling as some call it. Anyone have any ideas on what could cause this. ?? I have never had this happen before. Thanks

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Hey that is a very different stuff!!! The brake light at cluster is constant positive source and then is switched on/off with ground. You could have damaged:
-Emergency brake switch ate pedal assembly, or wire loosen and making ground.
-The brake warning switch or black wire arriving to it at proportioning valve OR valve/dist block itself. Either the master cilinder piston seals or some related.

of course if you can't turn off the engine, then brake light will keep lighted on for a while you have pressed the emergency brake, because positive source is not cut off

RELAX Acudanut. He is trying to help you and you give him shit..  That will never help anyone. It seems to me that you must not be much of an electrical genius yourself. Otherwise you would have checked out your brake light being on long before asking questions here.  ::)

I'm not looking to give you a bunch of shit. More letting you know that it is not appreciated here. Those who have been here for a while do play with one another, but,,,, also know they are playing.

Now play nice and go fix your car..   :smash:

Oh yeah, the word is INPUT, not iMput..... :moon:

He might be a mechanical wonder. The switch may not be moving still allowing your electrical contacts to be made keeping the engine running!

As for steves input of the brake light still being on there may be a short somewhere creating a contact and thats allowing the engine to continue to run. The key is off and has shut off the juice there but somewhere down the line theres juice going back into the system keeping it running.
