Well, I found BS23R2G233451 not to long ago. It has this weird engine in it, the spark plugs went clean thru the valve covers. this 72 Plymouth, must have been a special order. Came with a shaker hood, super track pac, included a 12 bolt independent rear with a 6 spd tranny, and this big wing on the back with the words Super Cuda on it, all factory installed. The guy sold it to me for 3500.  It's up at my dad's cottage in Mane but we can only get there in the summer. It's only accessible for 5 days in July. I'll get the broadcast and take pictures of it then. Until then just believe that I have this 72 Cuda. It's my fist Cuda and I don't care if you think this is BS or not, I still love it, I don't care of it's 1 of 1. Believe me when I say it's VIN has an R in it, I swear it's all original.

(see I can play too)

I think you're lying..that model wasn't built in St. Louis. LA only for '72. :icon_smile_wink: :icon_smile_wink: :icon_smile_wink:

I have been following this thread because I want to see the pics and belive there was one that got away that late in the year, odds say it isn't true but you never know. I can safely say this, if it isn't real, you have stirred up a hornest nest here and they will let you know how wrong you are for a long time...... I am going to give you the benifit of the doubt because In 40yrs of owning Mopars I have seen some strange cars and I owned one myself in 1969.
I bought a new 69 Charger at the time and it had an extra tag on the cowl area between the wiper motor and Pwr brake unit that had a serial number stamped on it, looked like this  "E-0001". And before anyone asks, "NO, I DON"T HAVE PICS", that was a long time ago.
I remember asking mechanics and salesman at all the local dealers and not getting an answer on what it meant for a long time until I talked to a Chrysler district rep and he gave me the story that it was an original blueprinted motor built to run hard. Well I did just that, run it hard all the time  :icon_smile_big:.
Was it real, who knows, but at that time I was young and it sounded good to me on the BS meter, so when anyone asked about it that is what I told them.

AZ-Nick..Sounds like that may have been a press release car.

Personally, I think the kid is telling the truth myself. I have no doubt that there may very well be a V in the vin. I also believe that IF that is true, it was a miss stamping from the factory. That is why it is so important to look for all the other things I outlined before. Untill then, it's all in fun......

see the car is in a ware house at our cottage thats only acesible to in the summer thats where the challenger is also but i never said it was a 1 of 1 dude

We're eager to see the documentation establishing this car as a late built 440-6bbl car when you can get it. If it is...great. Be prepared for the attention you'll recieve if it is. If it's nothing more than a mis reading or mis stamping of the VIN...well then it's still a 72 U code car. Very cool. Until you can produce the documentation, it may be best to lay low with the claim as people won't believe you.

My thoughts are like yours, it may have been miss stamped with the V and the only true way to prove what it is, is by the other things you mentioned.
If you are refuring to my car as it might be have been a press release car, I have thought about it, what I really think is that a line worker was have fun with his friends down the line and put it there to confuse them.

This might interest you, I have been trying to buy this car for almost 2 years now and i can't get a hold of the owner, it is sitting at his sisters house and no one will give me his number.

Yup, I saw your post on Moparts. Good luck with that, it deserves a good home. If you need any help once you score let me know. With reguards to your 69, I've heard a lot of stories that cars were specially "prepped" for road tests in the rags of the day. That may be one of the cars. Not all magazine cars were early......

Just curious?.....Since the car is not available, from what source did you get the VIN that you posted? Did you have it written down? committed to memory? or do you have some kind of document?

You didn't see it? He posted it. The car is white and is surrounded by snow. See the pic below.... You can just barely see it, look for the 2 dark dots, those are the exhaust pipes...

mikesbbody

the guy can barely string a sentence together, he's sitting back laughing at all of you! you only have to look at the so called "circimstances" to realise this is (most likely) a bunch of b.s possibly the vin is a misprint but i highly doubt it I will believe it when i see it until then if this guy wanted to make a topic with a "red hot" response...he's done just that. However, as they say never say "never" but in this case  i think i will say "never"

bsakal

Why can't he go get some pictures of it, it's isn't snowing that hard yet in Canada is it? End all of the suspense, drive up there and get some pics!

I agree. We want to see pictures!!!! I want him to come back so we can put an end to this one way or the other. If there is another V code 72 we need to know. If he is pulling our leg, only time will tell. :icon_smile_big:

Who the hell makes a first post of tell me your vin, here's mine?  Then spends the next two or three posts defending that it is a real 6 pack V-code and then spends his last posts insisting that he never said it was or was not a 6 pack before vanishing?  Oh, and he bought this ultra rare car for 3500 with a part time job, so not only is it incredibly rare, it's the deal of the decade as well.
Car could be legit but I highly doubt it.  He probably does love Chargers.  He probably also has been trolling us.

Dude, when the Great White North thaws out enough for you to canoe up to the secret collector car warehouse located by your cottage which is inaccessable right now, take a bunch of pics and make me out to be liar and I will be the first to publicly apologize on this forum.  But right now, I ain't believin' a word of it kid.

He can't, they left the canoe paddles up at the cottage as well. He will have to save up money from his part time job to purchase a new set.  :icon_smile_evil:
