im sure some of you also have a run stand but it is a new toy for me and it really works nice to break in the cam , make sure there arent any leaks ect. before painting it and putting it in the car by the way the 440 on the stand is for my cousins #s matching 70 charger r/t which i will try to post pics of this weekend sometime

It looks like the engine hoist is holding up the trans tailshaft.

I want to build an engine stand but I don't know where to start so any ideas are appreciated. That one looks pretty beefy (so do the ones later on).

i am planning on posting more pics tonight of the painted gine, and the stand without the engine and tranny on it
the reason the cherry picker is holding the tailhousing is because we ran the engine with the old h pipe exhaust and the pipes hit the tranny support and rather than deal with it at the time we just used the picker we have a set of headers and pipes we will use for most of the engines we will run but Erik wanted his manifolds on for this so eh oh well

good idea running up a freshly rebuilt engine  out the car & unpainted ,  once you know all is as it should be with the motor -- then paint it ,

I just thought id add that if anyone wants any full size good pics of the runstand i can email them it is really nice to have it works great and best of all it didnt cost that much for the tubing to build it , it even comes apart so it dont even hog up a ton of space.....just feel fre to pm me and ill email them right to ya!

Nothing like a out of car break-in. You can take care of any leaks or other little things that become a PITA to get to once it's in the car. Look forward to pics of the Charger.

Hanging the creeper on the wall is a great idea!  I wish i would have thought of that sooner, we've been harassed by those things for years.  Usually just lean them up against the tool box but then they are still in the way sometimes..

Nice Charger you've got there..  It sure is a lot nicer than Bulls..

Cool tool toys never seen a car lift like that would be nice to do engine installs like that were did you get it?
Would love to have a rotisory as well, But doing an engine break in on a stand that one I never have wanted to do to each his own.

the floor hoist is a snap on unit it is complely mobile and un like some sciscors jacks it takes the car straight up and down
