Ok in big numbers it had 176-1 across it and for the vin type number it had a 90256286 the 0 in the number seemed to be half gone or something so really couldn't make it out.

Chryco Psycho

venom04

PK is the assembly plant.  2892091 is the part number and shows it as a 1969 383 automatic for A and B bodies with high performance engine.  2810 is the build date and I think it means April 17, 1969 in this case.  9380 is the sequence number it was assembled at the plant.

My bet is the VIN is 9G256286.

Breaks down as:

9   meaning 1969 model year.

G   meaning built at St Louis plant (could look like an 0, stamping quality was all over the map).

256286    would be the sequence number.

Some of the various registries may have a VIN matching the one you found on this tranny.

383 HP trannies are numerous, as 67,000+ 69 Road Runners, Super Bees, and Chargers used this auto trans, not counting other Belvedere/Coronet models and A-bodies.

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

Ok i bought it with my 69 charger but it did not have a motor with it.  It had a 383, im going to do my best to locate the org 383.
