I am just wondering.  I have seen these for sale for 2nd and 3rd gens but not sure if I have ever seen one actually used on a car.  Anyone done this?

Gladly....Still in production. it needs a bumper and a different scoop.  Are you considering a glass clip?

That is awesome, thanks for the pics  :icon_smile_cool:

I dont know if I want one or not yet.  With the price or original parts, it might start looking like a good option soon and that is really cool looking.   What do you think of yours?  Anything you dont like?  How does it do at highway speed?  I wondered if they would shake with the wind or not.

I love it, the bigest drawback probably is I cant drive it in the rain because of the lack of inner fenders, but that might not be the case with the one in your picture, my guess is, that one with the hood opening will mount to the inner sheet metal. if not you'll have a lot of fabing to do,, battery in the trunk, cutting all the inner sheet metal out, roll bar extended out to the front of the frame rails for support and shock mounts, radiator support. the actual mounts are pretty simple (last pic) 1/2" aluminum plate bolted on to the original bumper mount holes.

As far as drivability. it's great! it knocked about 400lbs off th car. it does move around a bit  at high speed but mainly at the fire wall end. my plan is to add a rubber seal around the firewall to add some tension at the pin points, I think that will stop the movement.  I've had it up to 120 and leaned forward to look at it, and was surprised to see it just sitting there. as flimsy as it feels I half expected it to launch.

That is cool.  Its something to think about.  I wonder if anyone has bought one of these 3rd gen clips?
