Yest. I had a couple of my friends paint my car and It looks more beautiful than I've ever seen her before.  I think I fell in love with her again .
She does have her little imperfections  (a few of them my fault )  . Only thing Im not satisfied was my lack of patience in my body work. The drivers side quarter came out a little wavy since I got frustrated with shaping it and eventually forgot about it.  Front passngr fender had 2 lines about 3 inch long from bad chemical reaction .  Some places you can see where it wasnt feathered enough , but you have to look close.  Lastly a bit of bugs got stuck on the car during clear coat but I think they'll come out during buff.

The Day started out great . Just did some minor touch up and feathering before starting.  Friend #1 then proceeded to put on the base coat. after the first couple coats we got worried since the paint was real transparent even though we used a light grey primer.  after about 3 more coats every thing came together.  Right then we were about to go to lunch and then it started drizzling out of no where . So hurriedly I ran inside the garage and got a tarp and we held it up over the car for about 5 min or so .  Some rain managed to get on the car but luckily the base coat was already dry.   When we got back from lunch  Friend # 2 shot the Clear and it came out beautiful.

I couldnt be happier with the job these guys did. They had only learned how to paint last semester at school as well.  It was a really sweet deal.
Paint, reducer, activate, etc..  :  $300
Job:  paid each of them $150
Total :  $630  for painting  and meals .

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

THE COLONEL

It looks awesome!!!   Now where have I seen that color before? ;)   The Banana Beast and The Colonel would look great in a side by side pic. :yesnod:

Love the color thats what I am going with on my Challenger, it looks great,  when its your car you will notice inperfection others don't ever see.  and it seems every time I wash or wax mine I find another flaw.

another tip is to make every bit of trim on the car shine as much as possible.  It will make a major difference in a less than perfect paint job.

I had a guy do mine in his garage and after, I polished everything, had the bumpers rechromed, all potmetal trim rechromed, marker lights rechromed, painted and detailed the grill, new hood turnsignal lenses, parking light lenses.  also had tailights rechromed.

You can barely notice the bad paint under all that!!!  Plus, it's all done for when I decide to spring for a big bucks paint job.
