Hi,just trying to see if my first car is still alive. 1972 Charger R/T. light blue, black accents,340 Magnum bulge hood(318 in it,340 LONG gone)727,8.75 w 3.23's,slap stick. in east central florida.I don't have the vin, don't even have a picture of it.one oddity I remember was that the vin # for the engine code on the title had been changed from a 340 to a 318 I assume for cheaper insurance? I did not even know that could be done? this was in the early 80's and car was from Texas, maybe laws are different there?any how,if this car sounds familiar or if you own it,it would be cool to know what ever became of it.I suspect it might of wen't to the crusher.

Don't do it!  I tried to find an old car of mine last summer and ended up severely let down when I discovered what had been done to it.  Leave the past behind you and never look back.  Only badness can come with disturbing the forces of nature in this way.

Just kidding.  Good luck with finding your car and I hope it turns out better than my experience.

you are probally right it would be a Rallye. I was never in love with it, at the time it was just a car and needed a lot. once it was unreliable I replaced it with a Demon and have only owned A-bodies ever since.just now relizeing it was a pretty desirable car.hopefully someone with more sense saved it.
