I was wondering if anybody could give me pictures on just a 71 R/T louvered door.Andwhat would be really helpful is the measurements on those two indents cause I'm thinking about having a guy maybe trying to make them on sheet metal and reapplying that to the rest of my 73 charger door because both of my doors and serverly dented in and I have always liked the 71 doors and I've seen someone do it before.

chop those real louvers from a 71 R/T car that are on your 73 and graft them on to new 73 doors, as no1 repops those door louvers-MATT

No I was just showing that picture as an example that isn't my car. I need measurements on someones 71 R/T indents so the guy I'm having fix my rust repair make those indents exactly like 71 R/T doors.

Dont have anything to measure for you but I do have another pic of a 73 with the louvers...    If you go ahead with the mod post pics and tell how it was done, I would be curious to know.

I bought a set of rusty 71 R/T doors and cut out the louvers and quite a bit of the sheet metal around them. I plan to graft them into my 74 hard top doors. I may even alter the upper body line slightly to mimic the body line of the 71 style door. I also bought a pretty nice 71 r/t hood from the guy for the same car. I'll use the 71 style grilles with some modifications and tuck the front and rear bumpers in tight to lose the fillers. I know it would be a lot easier to just find a 71 car but this car is rust free and besides the 71's are so expensive. I have a six pack 440 and a 4 speed setup for the car with the long style pistol grip shifter. It will be black with a front spoiler, the rear window louvers and rear 71 style gull wing. The only thing that I haven't bought yet is a set of bucket seats to get rid of the bench seat.

I talked to a fab shop about making louvered inserts to sell, but they said that with the curvature of the door, the molds would be very expensive to build.

charger1973...Any more pics of that 73 car that had the louvers installed?
