whats up, long time listener first time caller ??? I am a die hard mopar guy my first car was a 68 coronet 440 4 door,67 plymouth belvedere 2 4 door, then a 72 charger and a 73, i have a wiring issue in my 73. i have 2 blue wires, 1 with a white stripe. where do they go and do you have to solder iron a certain connection. everytime i try to start it, the negative battery cable gets hot so i;m assuming that i have something hooked up wrong. pleasssse help!!

hey man welcome aboard! where are the wires located on the car,and ill look at mine tomorow and tell ya where the hell they go,ive been in the wiring which really can suck

sorry iwas in arush on that last post. the wires are coming out of the firewall. i just rebuilt my 318 800 cfm thermoquad,comp cam with 440 lift ,and weiland action plus intake,and all new pistons,bearings,crank ect.i bought this car from a guy not running,and since i did'nt mark my wires i'm having technical difficulties(please stand by) i have the black alternator wire in place but i have a blue/wht stripe and a blue wire coming out of the firewall that i don't have a place for. thanx.

I have made several diagrams to hel and posted on several threads... check on links that I post to know where goes everywire...
Diagrams are all around, not in just one topic, so be sure to check all links ;)

Some traced wires or colors could be not right on diagrams I made, since is wah paint gives to me, but you can be sure all wires are running from and to the right place

Whenever you need to join two wires it's best to solder them together and then cover them with a piece of heat shrink tubing that has sealant that oozes out of the ends.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.
