What's the best way to bend a fuel line?

I am fabbing up the fuel line for the Carter 4bbl on the 318.  It needs to come out and down fairly tightly to clear the air cleaner and my fuel line bender doesnt' seem able to make it tight enough with the end right there.  I tried bending it later down the line and adding the flare but the flaring tool requires too much meat to bite for it to work.  I'm using an old Lisle tubing bender with the plastic wheel and screw down bolt...works great, but not close enough to the end.

what I do for tight bends is using my tubing bender, then give it just alittle tweak by hand past where the bender can put it. too much, and you cant get the wheel out.

if its that bad your going to have to come out and go back in via a wider bend. I cant help you too much without a picture.

if you dont have a bender a pully works pretty good

For those tighter bends.....I utilize a socket (1/2 drive) and a vise.   Choose the size socket  that best suits the bend you are creating.    Maybe a shadetree way of doing it...but it works great!
