Maaaaaan that car is BAD :icon_smile_big:   Those back wheels are just too much for me but thats my only complaint!

Just 6T9 CHGR

I didnt find the HP #'s anywhere either.

:o I'm in love! :drool5: I looked at ALL 500 pictures of the resto (I know, I need a life :icon_smile_blackeye:) But I can't get any of the videos to work!  :'(

Strange, I couldn't open the videos for some reason either. Just a bunch of gobble-de-gook. Car does look awesome.

Oh My God. That dyno pull is SCARY! I hope my '68 turns out to be a scaled down version of that one. (The videos won't work in Mozilla.)

Those vids are bad a$$, I have taken over 4hrs of video's here at our local dyno
I am hooked on them  ;D Out of the 11 second race cars and 11 second trucks, I
think this charger might put them on the trailer  ;D  Those are some serious meats
in the back, and there is a ton of room still it looks like. I love black with a silver
stripe, I think it looks better than a red stripe, but maybe its just me  :yesnod: :yesnod:
I wish I knew the wheel and tire size out back? and the AC  :icon_smile_cool:

OH, and to funny, the movie Christeen came on 1/2hr ago

Looks like a 528 crate motor. I think the HP rating is somewhere around 600 or so. Great looking car! The road test video is awesome as well. I just love the sound of a good running Hemi! Nothing runs or sounds like a Hemi with the hammer down! My 69 was straining against the tiedowns like that when I did my dyno pulls at Carlisle, you could hear that pull from all across the field. Someday I'll post the video of it. Thanks for the link Chris, that car is just AWESOME!

If you guys look real close at the srtaps at the end of the video you will see that one of the turnbuckels is broken and hanging down! I knew something didn't look right on those last pulls. No way someone would want the car dancing around like that.

id like it more if it had a set of normal wheels and tires and if it were a little less rod and a little more charger but it done well
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Holy crap.  Did you notice the guy on the computer had a huge grin on his face.   :icon_smile_big:

The dyno looked like someone was having some fun.

I think on the site it mentions the wheels are 20 X 18 !!!  Thats one hunk of billet.

Also Dan, looking closer I think the actual color of the car is dark gray....almost like a graphite color.

The thing that got me is the fact the both the driver & PC operator didnt even FLINCH when the thing looked like it was about to hop off  :o

I'm going to apply for a job at MCR this spring... got to visit the shop 2 summers ago when the tan 69 RT/SE was just finished. They did a General Lee that belonged to someone from this site I thought?

Watching that second dyno pull I thought: "Built in frame-puller"  ;D

I've called and talked to these guys about my C500 but i'm afraid to bring my car in for a quote.. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :o

I'm still of the opinion that 17's front & 18's rear are the maximum wheel diameter that looks decent on a Charger. Those are too big for my taste. The rest of the car looks good though, as usual with MCR's top notch work.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I would like to know if that was a stock crate Hemi, or custom..i.e. Ray Barton, FHO, etc.? :icon_smile_tongue:

Shakey

I watched the video this morning in awe.   :scared:

I then showed it to my Boss who misunderstood and thought it was my car and commented that "I think I am paying you too much commission if you got money like that to spend".   :rotz:

I quickly straightened him out and told him that it was not my car.

When I got home tonight my Wife was making dinner and could hear it from the kitchen.  :RantExplode:

Man that was cool!   :yesnod:

472 R/T SE

Oh MY!  Mine didn't dance around like that on the dyno.  :o

Doug, that's a tag on the strap that's hangin' down.

firefighter3931

I wonder if those guys have a clue what they're doing. NO WAY the straps should be that loose and have the car dance around like that.  To continue flogging it with that much movement is amateur at best.  ???

As for power, it will show better numbers if everything is sinched down properly.  :yesnod:

This 'cuda moves around quite a bit as well past the half way point of the video.  It has that sweet whine.  Watch at the end of the video when he rows thru the gears, it wants to jump out of there.  :o

Blakcharger440

That is a sweet Charger. The rear wheels are too big for my taste as they are almost wide as they are tall.

And you get slightly better numbers if you leave some tension off of the straps as the lesser tension equals
a lower rolling resistance and you will see an increase in the numbers. But this is not safe.

That's not necessarily true. If the tension is too light the tires will slip on the drum and break traction. The way that thing was dancing around, for sure there was broken traction and it would be reflected in the power numbers.  ;)

Yes that is true also, there is margin in between too tight and too loose
